REMOVED FROM THE CONSENT CALENDAR TO BE CONSIDERED AT THIS TIME. <br /> COUNCILWOMAN GASPARINI EXCUSED HERSELF FROM DISCUSSION AND THE DECISION ON <br /> THIS ITEM DUE TO A POSSIBLECONF~ICT,OF INTEREST AND LEFT THE DAIS. <br /> Recommendation from Community Development Director to approve the Housing <br /> and Human Concerns Committee's funding recommendations, and authorize the <br /> City Manager to sign and submit all necessary documents to HUD. (1403-02) <br /> REPORT: Community Development Director, April 29, 1993 <br /> Housing Coordinator Debbi Jones-Thomas presented the staff report. <br /> MAYOR BUCHAN OPENED THE PUBLIC HEARING AT 8:20 P.M. AND INVITED ANYONE WHO <br /> WISHED TO SPEAK TO PLEASE DO SO. <br /> Petie Freeman, Director of Catholic Charities, described their program <br /> for adult day care and thanked the Council for their support. <br /> Sue Christiansen, Shelter Network, described their programs and Redwood <br /> Family Home, and thanked Council for their continued partnership. <br /> Don Frohlich, Topaz, Redwood City, expressed concern over administration <br /> costs included in the proposed recommendations for CDBG funds. <br /> Mayor Buchan asked if anyone else wished to address the Council. No one <br /> came forward. <br /> M/S: GREENALCH/LA BERGE TO CLOSE THE PUBLIC HEARING. <br /> CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE AND THE HEARING WAS CLOSED AT 8:21 P.M. <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 93-081 <br /> In response to Council questions, Housing Coordinator Jones-Thomas described <br /> administration costs and advised HUD allows 20% to cover those costs. <br /> Redwood City's program is proposing much less than 15%. Mrs. Jones <br /> described reasons some requests were not granted and described outreach <br /> programs. <br /> a. TITLE READ. M/S: LA BERGE/SANFILIPO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 11982 APPROVING APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL ASSISTANCE <br /> COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT); CERTIFYING THAT THE CITY HAS FOLLOWED <br /> ITS ADOPTED CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION AND <br /> FILING OF ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING THERETO (FISCAL YEAR 1993-94) <br /> b.
