In addition, specific focus will be provided to further develop the City’s youth <br />engagement opportunities including leveraging existing school events; support the <br />City’s Youth Commission and explore other leadership opportunities with this group; <br />and partnering with Redwood City 2020 on their dialogue series and parent <br />engagement programs. <br /> <br />Enhanced Opportunities to Shape City Policy <br />Staff plans to build community engagement into the city decision-making processes by <br />targeting specific projects, programs and city processes to implement community <br />participation plans. Engagement tools (i.e. offering surveys, small meetings, <br />stakeholder meetings, etc.) will be explored and utilized in the decision-making process, <br />with a commitment to communicate engagement results. We will also evaluate the <br />feasibility of providing childcare at community meetings, explore providing translation <br />services and other ways to engage diverse aspects of the community.
