Councilman Granger was of the opinion that this should be taken up with the Chamber of Commerce and see if they will accept the entire membership. Councilman Britschgi was of the opinion that the County was going to coordinate this with the Celebration Association. It was reported that the Fourth of July would be one of the highlights of the centennial celebration. Councilman Britschgi moved to refer this to the Chamber of Commerce and ask for a report by next Monday night, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. Mayor Royer appointed a committee to work with the Chamber of Commerce. Andy never took a drink or smoked in his life, he always told me, quote "a man in my position must be in top shape at all times as we do not know what is coming next".
