that on March 19, 1956, the Council turned down Irlr. Huntts request for a water meter on this same Property. 1`ater Superintendent Winter was of the opinion that if this matter was checked .with the Health Department they would find that the building permit was granted with the understanding that they would have to get by with the well. The first permit was granted by the Health Department in March, 1953, and when the well went dry the City Council, on July 13, 1953, approved the present water meter be- cause it was a hardship case. In December of 1954, Mr. Hunt built the second house, and it was the %NOW opinion of Mr. Minter that the Health Department told 14r. Hunt that he would have to depend on the well for his water. This is the same property that Mr. Hunt threatened to take to court if he wasn't given a .1rater meter. Councilman Britschgi moved that the request be denied, seconded by Councilman Granger. City Attorney Currie asked that it be noted that at the time that this request is before the Council .. that these people are only considering the purchase of the property and have not completed the sale. „,„d The motion carried because this was not considered a hardship case. Councilman Britschgi left the meeting at 9:12 P. M. PI. NNING C 0%-11ISSION RECOM ENDATION REGARDING FINAL MAP, FARM HILLS NO. 2. The Planning Commission recommended approval of final map of Farm Hills No. 2 subject to the following conditions& 1. Completion of mathematical checking and correction of errors. 2. Deed parcels B, C, D and E at end of dead-end streets. 3. Furnish performance bond of 4450,000 and execute agreemtn. The City Engineer recommended that the final map of Farm Hills No. 2 be accepted subject to the following conditions& 1. Completion of mathematical checking of Final Map, and correction of any errors found. 2. Deeding of parcels indentified as Lots "B", licit, "D" and "E", at ends of deadend streets, to City of Red.-iood City simultaneously with recording of map. 3. Furnishing performance bond in the amount of X450,000 which has been agreed to by the subdivider. 4. Execution of Agreement covering construction of improvements, etc., now being prepared by the City Attorney. Councilman Herkner moved approval of the Planning Commission's recommendations subject tothe conditions, seconded by Councilman Granger. Councilman Stout wanted to knob=r if the Park and Recreation Commission had reviewed the map and, if so, had they made any recommendations. The City Attorney stated that there was no legal reason why this map should be turned over to the Park and Recreation Commission. Gerry verrsen, Park and Recreation Commissioner, stated that,.though they have not seen the final map, they had talked with Oddstad Homes and everything was in order. Motion carried. PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMEND ANNEXATION I'dESTERLY PORTION FARM HILLS NO. 4. Herb Frahm, representing Oddstad Homes, presented a topographical map only. He stated that this had been presented informally to the Planning Commission and that was the way he would like this considered now. This was not a formal � petition for annexation. The City Attorney stated that there were two things to be considered: (1) the gentlemen's agreement with Woodside and (2) whether or not this was included in the proposed incorp- oration of Woodside. Councilman Herkner moved approval of the Planning Commission's thinking on this matter, seconded by Councilman Granger. This was followed by discussion after which the motion carried. Gerry Verrsen, Park and Recreation Commissioner, stated the Izzy Gold was elected as State President of the Junior Chamber of Commerce. He asked -if the Council would go on record of congratulating Izzy. Council man Granger moved that the City Clerk .Waite a letter of congratulations, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried.
