The letter was filed. <br />Councilman Weiss wanted to know if it would be possible to have copies of all reports sent out to the <br />Council with the agenda so they would know what was in the report so they could check into the matter <br />before attending the Council Meeting. Council;an ti'eiss was told that this report was not new and had <br />been requested by the Council. <br />A petition was presented to the Council requesting the City Council of Redwood City to instruct the Building ...� <br />Inspector to delay issuance of building permit and to reconsider action of the City Council in approving <br />application of Dale Stuart to rezone Lot 7, Block F, C,00dside Acres, from R-2 to R-3. There were sixteen <br />signatures to the petition. This was followed by discussion as to why the people wanted this change <br />after it had just been passed by the Council. The City Attorney stated that the Council could initiate <br />mom <br />on their own initiative to change the rezoning of this area, and they could refer this to the Planning <br />Commission for reconsideration. Councilman Britschgi so moved, seconded by Councilman 11.11eiss. Building <br />Inspector S. H. Kreiss asked that the Clerk be directed to write a letter to Mr. Dale Stuart telling <br />him of the Council's action. The motion carried. <br />COMMUNICATION DE PAOLI REQUEST POST PONL1., ,NT OF ISSUANCE OF C JP.IPLAINT, J. FINETTI. On May 8, 1956, the City <br />Planning Commission passed resolution directing the City. Attorney to file a criminal complaint against <br />John Finetti for violating certain building and zoning ordinances. At the time of this hearing, Pyr. <br />finetti was not represented by counsel and they ,are now requesting that this matter be Placed on your <br />agenda to give them the opportunity to request the Council to stay the issuance of said complaint until <br />they can properly investigate the facts surrounding the alledged violations. This was followed by a short <br />discussion after which Councilman Britschgi moved approval of the request provided Mr. Finetti waives <br />time element on complaint. Seconded by Councilman 7eiss and carried. <br />Al Davies, representing the Redwood City and San Carlos Automobile Dealers, Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs, asked <br />for permission to hold a safety check starting May 22nd through May 25th, on ArFu.ello Street between <br />.Brewster and Bradford Streets. Acting Police Chief Moudakas stated that this would be all right as far <br />as his department is concerned. Councilman Stout moved that the request be granted, seconded by Council- <br />man Spillers and carried. <br />REPORT ON BID OPENING, SALE OF PORTION OF LOT 3, BLOCK A, 71OODSIDE ACRES NO. 1. There was only one bid <br />received and that was from the Sequoia Young Hen's Christian Ass'n. in the amount of $3,500, bid form <br />and certified check for $350.00 were attached. Councilman Stout offered RESOLUTION 2036 accepting the <br />bid and awarding the sale to the Y. 1I. C. A. and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Spillers <br />and carried on roll call. i <br />CITY ATTORNEY FURTHER REPORT ON PIICHEL NTJILD7:IJG, MAIN STREET. The City Attorney reported that he had been <br />unable to contact either the amner or their attorney. Councilman Stout moved to continue the matter .for <br />one week, seconded by Councilman aTeiss and carried on roll call. <br />LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES FETING MAY 17th, ADOBE CRI,EK LODGE. Councilman Stout, Spillers and Mayor Royer <br />will attend. Councilmen Herkner and Jeiss were uncertain and Councilman Britschgi said No. <br />CITY ENGINEER RECOL11ENDS ENGINEERING STUDIES ON "TATER RESERVOIR IN THE FAR7M HILL AR A. The City Engineer <br />stated that it was his understanding that the developers of the Farm Hill area were to deed a sufficient <br />area in the canyon site for the reservoir facilities as consideration for abandonment of the original <br />plans to construct the reservoir in Farm Hill No. 1 and No. 2. It is his suggestion that the developers <br />be requested to deed the necessary site before further development in its immediate area. <br />The City Engineer recommended that engineering studies be authorized to make preliminary designs of a <br />12 million gallon reservoir in this area so that an adequate site can be assured, and that the acquisition <br />I <br />
