Tr. to take up the matter of the budget and <br />also take uo the matter of salaries. <br />Councilman Lerkner stated that he would like to know if they were doing anything to proceed with the water <br />reservoir. Water Superintendent 71inter was asked to obtain additional information. City Engineer Jain <br />stated that this was supposed to be turned in in April. Councilman Herkner moved that the 'Tater Superin- <br />tendent be instructed to bring in a report next week in regard to the "Tater Reservoir in back of the <br />hospital, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />Councilman Stout stated that the new parking lot was proceeding very well, and he asked if 'something could be <br />done about the smaller piece of property across the street from the parking lot. City Attorney Currie <br />stated that he has been checking with the property m^rners. He asked that the Coiuicil take action and have <br />a letter written to the property owners stating that the Council wanted this project completed as soon as <br />possible. Councilman Stout moved that the City Clerk write a letter to the property owners, seconded by <br />Councilman Spillers. This was followed by discussion in regard to the posGibility of forming an assessment <br />district and adopting a resolution of public convenience and necessity because of possible flood conditions. <br />r,... <br />The motion carried. Councilman Stout asked that a weekly report be given. <br />Councilman Granger moved that a resolution be prepared, similar to the one drawn up -for Irving Gold, in honor <br />of Leo ^rawford honoring him for becoming the State Commander of the American Legion, seconded. by Council- <br />man Stout and carried on roll call. <br />Councilman Granger offered a resolution that the American Flag be flown every day at the Veterans' memorial <br />Building, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call. <br />Councilman 'TTeiss raised the question of whether or not liquidation sales were limited to -any particular length <br />of time. City Attorney Currie stated that they were limited to 60 days after which they had to apply to <br />the Council for consideration of an extension of time. <br />Councilman I3ritschgi was of the opinion that a two away ordinance should be established. City Attorney Currie <br />stated that there is an ordinance in effect where the City could remove cars from the street if they were <br />left for a period of 72 hours. <br />The City Clerk stated that he had a notice of completion ready for the training building at the Recreation <br />Center. City Attorney Currie stated that this building should be accepted, however, a recommendation <br />should be made, possibly by the Building Inspector, that this building should be accepted. Building <br />Inspector Kreiss stated that there was the problem of a heater being moved and who was expec'_ed to pay for the <br />�,.. moving of the heater. Councilman Spillers moved that the City Manager be instructed to bring back a report <br />next Council meeting, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br />Councilman Stout offered RESOLUTION 2056 AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF BONDS I'OR TP,�TT,TRIA.L 11�aY and moved its adoption, <br />seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call. <br />Councilman Britschgi stated that some time ago he asked for information in regard to closing in the windows in <br />the Council Chamber. He stated that he did not agree with the letter and stated that he wanted the <br />matter brought up again. Mayor Royer offered the suggestion of talking to the Memorial CoL-mission to see <br />
