i <br />225 <br />INTRODUCE ORDINANCE REZONING OAK KNOLL PARCELS FROM U TO C-1 -H. Councilman Granger offered introduction <br />of the ordinance. City Attorney Currie stated that there were a few deeds which should be accepted. <br />Councilman Britschgi seconded the motion which carried. Councilman Granger moved that the Clerk be authorized <br />to accept deeds from the Royers, Thibault, McDaniel and Krojer, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED OFFICIAL PLAN LINES FOR FUTURE STREET THROUGH LOTS 17, 18 and 19, VALOTA PARK <br />P" BETWEEN VALOTA ROAD AND END OF KANSA STREET. The owners of lots 17 and 19 were at the Planning Commission <br />&NO meeting and the owner of Lot 18 was contacted. There was no opposition at the public hearing. The Planning <br />Commission feels that this will set a road pattern for this area which isctsirable for the future develop - <br />N <br />meet. Councilman Britschgi moved to set the public hearing in two weeks, seconded by Councilman Stout and <br />carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL GRANNY GOOSE REQUEST FOR ABANDONMENT 10' RESERVATION ADJACENT TO ALLEY <br />BETWEEN HOUM AND ANNETTE, NEAR BAYSHORE HIGHWAY. This reservation was asked for prior to the California <br />Division of Highway Agreement to put in a service road in this area. Since there will be a service road, <br />widening of the alley is unnecessary.' Councilman Britschgi moved that the matter be held in abeyance until <br />the sign matter is taken care of, seconded by Councilman Weiss. Building Inspector Kreiss stated that the <br />posts have been cut and they are just waiting for the ewuipment to come in to pull the posts out. The <br />motion was withdrawn. Councilman Stout moved approval of the Planning Commission's recommendation, seconded <br />by Councilman Weiss and carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL APPLICATION TO MOVE ACME MACHINE SHOP FROM LOT 8, BLOCK 6, LENOLT <br />(404 D Street) TO LOT 17, ARS BLK 503-H. The Planning Commission reported that there were no protests at the <br />pbulic hearing. Councilman Granger moved approval of the Planning Commission's recommendation., seconded by <br />Councilman Stout and carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL FINAL MAP OF WOODSIDE TERRACE N0. 7 SUBJECT TO FINAL CHECK OF MAP AND <br />IMPROVEMENT PLAN BY CITY ENGINEER, AND MEETING ALL PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE 631. City Engineer Jain stated <br />that there were a list of conditions which will be met. Mr. Barr, representing Murphy and Hastings, was <br />present if there were any questions. The minutes of the Planning Commission state the following conditions: <br />1. Final checking, corrections and additions to Final Map as required by the Engineering Department. <br />2. Final checking, corrections and additions to plans and specifications as required by the Engineering <br />Department. <br />3. Deed in fee to Lot "A" to be furnished and recorded immediately upon recording of Final )tsp. <br />4e Furnishing of required performance bond in amount determined by the City Engineer. <br />5• Furnishing of Preliminary Title Report. <br />6. Showing of all existing easements on Final Map within and adjacent to this subdivision. <br />7. Furnishing of City and County Assessors' reports. <br />8. Compliance with all requirements of Subdivision Ordinance No. 6319 <br />Councilman Britschgi moved approval subject to the above conditions, seconded by Councilman Stout and <br />carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMEND AMENDING AGREEMENT ON FARM HILLS SUBDIVISION NO. 2 TO ALLM WAIVER OF CURBS, GUTTERS, <br />AND SIDEWALKS IN FRONT OF LOT A ON JEFFERSON AVENUE IN FRONT OF THE PROPOSED ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. The school <br />District has agreed to participate in any future assessment as they have done so willingly in the past. <br />The Clerk read the following letter submitted by the School District to the Planning Commission: <br />The Board of Edueation of the Redwood City School District has requested me to communicate with <br />you for reconsideration of the requirement that the frontage on Jefferson Avenue of Lot A, <br />Farm Hills Subdivision Number 2, be improved by installing paving, curbs, gutters and side- <br />walks. <br />When the Board of Education originally agreedvith Oddstad Hames for the purchase of the <br />school site, no improvement of Jefferson Avenue was contemplated. This new requrement would <br />increase the cost of the site by more than $13,000 which is particulAry difficult for the <br />schoml district to bear at this time.
