The motion carried on roll call. <br />The Clerk read a letter submitted by the San Mateo County Fair Association wherein they asked that the Council <br />adopt a resolution declaring August 7th as Redwood City Day at the Fiesta. <br />Councilman Stout offered RESOLUTION 2080 SETTING AUGUST 7th AS REDWOOD CITY DAY AT THE FIESTA and moved its <br />ro" adoption, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried on roll call. <br />6w The Clerk read a letter submitted by City Auditor BropbV with regard to the limits of liability insurance to be <br />carried by the concessionaire at Hawes Park. After a discussion with the service representative of the <br />Redwood City Insurance Association, it is his recommendation that the coverage by $25,000.00 for any single <br />occurrence and $50,000.00 for aggregate occurences. It is felt that these limits would adequately protect <br />mom <br />the City without working an undue hardship on the insured. Westerdahl, Minister Peninsula Covenant Church. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Carl A. Britschgi, Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner, <br />Hiram S. Stout, Louis Weiss, Mayor William H. Hoyer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Councilman Spillers was <br />noted absent. Also present were City Manager E. A. Rolison, City Attorney C. B. Currie, Water Superintendent <br />H. L. Winter, Fire Chief J. L. Lod -is Assistant to City Manager L. A. Kimball, Assistant Water Superintendent <br />Warren Mitchell, Police Chief William Faulstich, Senior Deputy Engineer Melvin Moen, Planning Commissioner <br />Vincent Rambos Assessor -Auditor John J.-Bropby and Account Clerk Vivian Holmquist. <br />Councilman Weiss stated that he had a correction he wanted changed on page 1 of July 16th minutes. In one place <br />Councilman Britschgi should be noted present and not absent on correction of July 11th minutes, of July 16, <br />23 and 30th were approved as mailed on motion of Councilman Weiss, seconded by Councilman Granger and <br />carried. <br />VINCENT RAMBO, CENTENNIAL COMMITTEE, asked the Council to adopt a resolution designating September 10 to 15th <br />as Redwood City Observance Week for the Centennial. Councilman Granger moved that the City Manager <br />designate someone to draw up a suitable resolution for declaring September 10 to 15th as Redwood City <br />Observance Weeks seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br />Councilman Granger stated that the sum of $250.00 had been established to assist the Centennial Committee. <br />He was of the opinion that the City should contribute in the way of help in order to get all the work done. <br />What he had in mind was the possible use of office help. The Mayor asked Mr. Rambo to contact the City <br />Manager if there was any work to be done that the City could help with. <br />PUBLIC HEARING, ADOPTION OF AMETiDMENT TO SALARY ORDINANCE, ESTABLISHING SALARY OF CITY ATTORNEY ETC. The <br />affidavit of publication was ordered filed. There being no protests, written or oral, Councilman Weiss <br />moved that the public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried.
