CITY CLERK REPORT REGARDING ABANDONMENT RESTRICTIONS GRANNY GOQSE. The report reads as follows.- The ollows. The undersigned received a phone call from Rudeco Co., owners of the Granny Goose building to the effect that an error was made when they applied for abandonment of the provision prohibiting the use.of loft* strip adjacent to the alley at the rear. They now request abandonment of the entire 15 ft. strip. The Plnning Commission is in accord with this+ request. City Attorney Currie stated that if the Council wished to proceed with the request that he had ...► prepared the necessary rewolution. Councilman Britschgi offered RESOLUTION 2080 ABANDONING THE PROVISION PROHIBITING THE USE OF 15 FOOT STRIP ADJACENT TO THE ALLEY IN THE REAR CF THE GRANNY GOOSE PROPERTY and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried on roll call, Councilman Spillers being noted absent. COMM4TTEE REPORT ON CLIF HUDDLETON'S application for dance permit. The report, in parts, reads as follows: It should be noted that the three parking areas away from the premises, which Mr. Huddleton advised would be used for parking, were not available nor had Mr. Huddleton contacted any of the owners of that property with regard to use of the property for parking Therefore, it is the recommendation of this committee that the application be denied under present conditions. If the Council at any time should aee.fit to grant a permit for dancing, it should be granted only under the following minimum conditions: 1. No outdoor dancing. ...� 2. Adequate parking be provided on the site for not less than sixty cars. 3. Occupancy load in all buildings shall be as provided in Chapter 33 of the Uniform Building Code. Lt. All dancing must be in a separate room which construction must comply with all requirements of the Health,,Building and Fire Departments. 5. No advertising should be permitted. 6. Dancing should be permitted only from noon to 1:00 A..Me to a juke box except on Sundays. On Sundays he be permitted, during the same hours, to have a four piece band maximum. 7. No outside loud speaker should be permitted. 8. Detailed construction plans and plans for the development of the area should be submitted in writing to conform with all of the above provisions and the Building and Fire Codes of the City of Redwood City. 9• Any permit granted should not be effective until all of the foregoing conditions had been complied with and all construction completed. 10. Any permit granted should be revocable at the option of an in the absolute discretion of the Council of Redwood City without notice to the applicant upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police. The Committee consisted of E. A. Rolison, C. B. Currie, W. L. Faulstich and J. L. Lodi., Councilman Britschgi moved approval of the Committee's recommendation. Councilman Herkner questioned wbV they ,. should be required to operate on Sunday without advertising. The Committee fells that this was one .. of Mr. Huddleton's own suggestions, and they, the Committee, decided to go along and make it a part of their recommendation. Councilman Granger, based upon the study of the Committee, stated that he could not see how the City could turn down the recommendation and based on this he seconded the motion. This was followed by discussion. Coun-ilman Weiss stated that the Committee's recommendations were very good, however, he was of the opinion that the conditions were very stringent. Mr. Huddleton
