Recreation Director Morton has suggested the name of McGarvey for the main field containing three <br />diamonds and Bechet for the auxiliary field. These names were selected in honor of the two gentlemen who <br />Flo did much for recreation in this City. Councilman Spillers movbd a pproval, seconded by Councilman Weiss, the <br />Y... parties named to be contacted. Motion carried. <br />COUNCILMAN WEISS ASKED IF ANYTHING HAD BEEN DONE regarding the Golf Practice Field adjoining Lenolt. Mayor <br />Royer stated he had received a call today form a resident. Report is requested by the end of this week. <br />COUNCILMAN SPILLERS BROUGHT OUT THE MATTER OF THE PROPOSED GARBAGE AND REFUSE DISTRICT. Councilman'Herkner <br />reported that the Committee was moving as fast as possible in the negotiation of property and the selection <br />of a proper incinerator. <br />COUNCILMAN BRITSCHGI requested City Attorney to check into food ordinance as it concerns food sales by churches <br />and clubs, he having recently read of a sale halted in Linda Mar. <br />COUNCILMAN BRITSCHGI DISCUSSED PLANS FOR THE YACHT HARBOR. A tentative plan c an b e secured for a nominal charge <br />of $200 to $3002 however he stated that the Stout - Armetage plancan be prepared and furnished at no cost. <br />Councilman Weiss was in favor of an overall plan which would indicate future expansion. Councilman Stout <br />discussed the area plan submitted about a year ago. Councilman Spillers moved that the Stout-Armetage Mari <br />be secured$ mconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />COUNCILMAN HERKNER requested a report on the present status of the water reservoir. Councilman Granger moved <br />this item be placed on the agenda, report to be submitted by the City Manager. Motion seconded by Council- <br />man Britschgi and carried. <br />Councilman Stout discussed the hauling of fill for the Bayshore Freeway. City Attorney Costello stated the matter <br />of barging fill was now under consideration by the Port Commissioners and the Port Manager was investigating. <br />Councilman Stout moved that the Traffic Committee advise cost and proposed crossings on El Camino Real of 17alk <br />- Wait" signals, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. Chief Faulstich stated the State recommends <br />against such signals. <br />COUNCILMAN STOUT discussed the amount of deposits in the bank of American and Wells Fargo Bank expressing the <br />thought that cash might be spread further, mentioning specifically the American Trust Bank.
