draw up,the diagram and description of the property to be included in the Yacht Harbor. Councilman <br />Britschgi moved that the City Engineer be authorized to draw up the diagram and property description and the <br />balance of the deal (agreement with the Port) to be referred to the City Attorney for preparation, seconded <br />by Councilman Stout. This was followed by discussion in regard to the description. Councilman Britschgi <br />stated that he had the description and he would turn it over to the City Engineer. The motion carried. <br />DISCUSSION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, PARKING LOT VI. The City Attorney recommended -that this be referred to <br />him for a recommendation. Councilman Britschgi moved that this matter be referred to the City Manager and <br />City Attorney to take the necessary action to have plans and specs prepared, seconded -by Councilman Weiss <br />and carried. <br />Councilman Britschgi offered RESOLUTION 2153 APPROVING ASSESSMENT DIAGRAM FOR IIANZANITA-LAUREL-HILTON IMPROVEMENTS <br />r" <br />and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried on roll call, Councilman Spillers being <br />noted absent. <br />DISCUSSION REGARDING ROBLE AVENUE PETITION. The petition asked that something be done to have the street put back <br />in its original condition. The Mayor had the petition. City Engineer Jain stated that as soon as the <br />weather permits they will fix the street. This is an unimproved street and the City can not assume mainten- <br />ance of the street. The people put in their own street but not to City specifications. The people from <br />the area stated that they understood this, however, since Eichler has been building homes at the end of their <br />street his trucks have broken the street down. All they wanted was to have the street put back in its original' <br />condition. The Mayor said there wasn't much that the City could do except try to fill in the holes. He <br />was of the opinion that the people would have to contact Mr. ..ichler and have him repair the damages caused <br />by the trucks. This was followed by discussion. <br />COUNCILMAN VTEISS REGARDING ARTICLE "KEEPING COUNCIL INFORMED" WHICH APPEARED IN THE AMERICAN CITIES MAGAZINE. <br />Councilman Weiss suggested that this article be made a part of the minutes and be referred to the the City <br />�..r Manager for his suggestions and report, seconded by Councilman Britschgi. This was followed by,discussion <br />in regard to whether or not this should be referred back to the Council or if the City Manager should just <br />carry out the suggestions. The motion carried with Councilman Granger and Mayor Royer voting NO. <br />CITY ENGINEER. RECOMMENDS ACCEPTANCE RELIEF SEWER IX, FARM HILLS LINE. City Engineer Jain stated that the physical <br />work has been completed, however, he asked that this be held up until such time as he receives a report back <br />from the San Francisco mater Company about a monhole which was put in on their Hetch-Hetchy right-of-way. <br />Mr. Jain stated that the work was com_:,leted within the time limit. <br />CARL TIEDEMAN REQUEST WATER CONNECTION LOT 11, TOYON KNOLLS (GOPETIA DRIVE). Mr. Tiedeman stated that this property <br />is now in the Woodside City limits. Water Superintendent Winter st:4ted that there is a 2" main serving this <br />area. He explained that they can not give a water connection and that there isn't sufficient water to serve <br />the area on the other side of the hill. This was followed by discussion in regard to the issuance of a <br />,,, building permit by the City of Woodside, Redwood City' policy in regard touter connections in Emerald Lake <br />PO <br />and the stand taken by the County in regard to water connections in Emerald Lake. <br />Councilman Granger was of the opinion that the City of Woodside be notified of the water policy set by the <br />City and ask that they notify the City what they intend to do and ask that they make a report of their <br />findings to the City of Redwood City and the Council wait until such time to take action on this matter. <br />This was followed by discussion in regard to the policy of granting water only, in cases of a hardship. <br />Councilman Granger moved that they communicate with the City of Woodside about the request for a water permit <br />and ask them for their opinion regard to this matter and if it comes back clear then the Council can act as <br />to what they will do in regard to the water connection. This motion died for lack of a second. This was <br />followed by more dicussion. Councilman Britscghi cautioned the Council about the stand they take in this <br />muter. "Nater superintendent Winter again stated that they do not have the water to serve this area. <br />
