Mr. Hanlon 'applied as an individual for a use permit for the dealing in Used Motor Vehicle at the property known as 1450 El Camino Real. This property formerly had been used as a Used car lot. Mr. Hanlon enclosed a check in the amount of $400 as required by ordinance. This was followed by discussion as to why this matter was brought before the Council before going to the Planning Commission. Councilman Royer moved that a PETITION FOR ANNEXATION FOR A PORTION OF EMERALD LAKE be referred to the Planning Commission, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. Councilman Granger stated that the memorial placque would be read by April 2nd. Councilman Spillers moved to set April 2nd as the night for setting the placque, seconded by Councilman Jones. Councilman Granger suggested the time of 7:30 p.m. and he suggested that the different Veteran organizations be notified. He offered to draft a letter and have the Clerk write the letter and mail it to the different organizations. Councilman Spillers added this to his motion which carried. City Manager Rolison stated that the architect for the Memorial Building requests advertisement for bids on chairs, tables, etc. Councilman Royer moved approval to have the City Manager advertise for bids, sedonded by Councilman Jones and carried.
