� � <br /> It has been called to our attention that labor rates have increased approximately <br /> 7�, and material prices about 3� within the past 12 months. Further material price <br /> increases are anticipated, and wage rates are scheduled to be increased again on <br /> January l, 1958 and July l, 1958• We are also advised that if the project is delayed, <br /> excavation and other costs will increase due to the necessity of performing certain <br /> items of work during the winter months, which work was anticipated to be done during <br /> this summer season. <br /> Couneilman Stout moved that this be referred to the City Engineer For a report in <br /> two ��eks, July 15th, seconded by Councilman Weiss who asked that they include <br /> engineerin� costs and any other costs so they will know what the total cost will be. <br /> The Mayor asked that they also include item five in the motion (introduction oP <br /> ordinance providing for bonded indebtedness of �500,000 f or Water Bonds) and continue <br /> this togsther with the report. This was agreed to by the maker and secon d of the <br /> motion. The motion carried. <br /> INTRODIICE ORDINANCE REVISING WATER CONNECTION CHARGES. Councilman Weymouth moved that ,' <br /> I <br /> this matter be carried on the agenda for one week, July 8th, and members of the j <br /> Council be given a copy of the propoaed ordinanee, seconded by Councilman i�eiss and ! <br /> I <br /> carri ed. I <br /> �ouncilman Stout offered ORDINANCE 600.79 AMENDING ORDINANCE N0 . 600 TO REZONE PORTION OF <br /> LOT 9, BLOCK I, WOODSIDE �CRES, FROM R-2 DISTRICT TO C-1-H DISTRICT and moved its <br /> I <br /> adoption, seconded by �ouncilman Granger. The affidavit of publication was ordered <br /> filed and the Clerk was asked �o read the title of the ordinance. The motion <br /> , <br /> carried on roll call with Couneilman Weiss voting No and Councilmen Herkner and <br /> Spillers bein� noted absent. <br /> REQUEST OF CITY ENGIPtEER TO AUTHORIZE RENTAL OF EQUIPMENT FOR PRELIMINARY GRADING OF <br /> PARKING LOT AREAS IN STULSAFT YARK. The Clerk read the letter from the City Engineer i <br /> wherein he recommended that p ermisaion be granted to rent the necessary equipment to I� <br /> perform preliminary grading and excavation in the �irst unit of S�ulsaft Park. This <br /> was followed by diseussion. Councilman Stout moved that the Engineerts report be <br /> accepted and he be authorized to proceed, seconded by Councilman Weiss. The City ' <br /> Attorney asked that the proper insurance be furnished by the operator. This was ! <br /> ineluded in the motion. �Councilman Granger asked that the record sho�r that the �i <br /> money came from a good source (Cinnabar Mining operation) . The motion ca.rried. � <br /> LETTER OF APPRECIATION FROM THE P.G.& E. FOR COOPERATION RECEIVID FROM THE RECREATION II <br /> ' '� <br /> DEPARTME�IT DURING THEIR SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT. The C1erk read the letter. I <br /> PLANIVING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED GRANTING PERMIT TO MOVE HOUSE FROM FRTONT TO REAR OF LOT, ' <br /> A REVIGLIO, 7l�0 WOODSIDE ROAD (Lot 11, Block H, Woodside Acres No. 1) . There were ' <br /> � no protests at the Planning Commission meeting. �ouncilman Granger asked that the <br /> �.or <br /> - r�cord show that the Building Inspector and the Fire �Chief approved this permit. <br /> Councilman Weiss asked if it was the intent of the people to place a store in the <br /> front oP their property and moving the house to the rear. The Buildin� Inspector <br /> sta�ed that that was their intent. The property adjoining Mr. Revigliots property <br /> has a store on it.
