The Clerk r ead the title of the ordinaxice. Councilman ' <br /> I <br /> Herkner offered introduction of the ordinance, seconded by Councilman Stout and ', <br /> carried. I�, <br /> ACCFPT DEID OF EASEMENT, BAY ROAD IMPROVIIvIENT. LETTER FROM KIRKBRIDE AND WILSON. The i <br /> Clerk read the letter. Councilman Stout offered RESOLUTION 2283 ACCEPTING DEEDS OF <br /> EASEMENT, BAY ROAD and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Granger and <br /> carried on roll ca11, Councilm�n Spillers being noted absent. <br /> COMMUNICATION FROM ENGINEERING AND GRADING CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION AND PROPOSED RESOLUTION <br /> REGARDING TRUCK ROUTES. The Association presented a resolution for each city in <br /> order that they may determine the routes to be opened for use of the standard <br /> commercial vehicles of the city. The plan will not be presented to the Count�r unless <br /> all cities concerned adopt it, and any change will be made known to all cities before � <br /> a request is made to the County. The Mayor stated that he would like to appoint a <br /> member of the Council to meet with the City Manager, City Attorney and the Tra ffic <br /> Committee on triis matter. Councilman Herkner w azted to know what would happen to <br /> $' <br /> the matter of the truck route in regard to the quarry. This will be studied by the <br /> Committee. The Mayor will appoint the member within the next couple of days. ' <br /> CONlNIiTNICATION FROM DALE PARK PARENTS ASSOCIATION REGARDING LAWS GOVERNING PREVENTION OF <br /> OPEN DITCHES, ABANDONID PITS AND ICE BOXPS. There was some discussion on this matter j <br /> and the Clerk was asked to check the minutes to determine if' this had been presented �, <br /> to the Council for the possible adoption of an ordinance and report his f indings back � <br /> to the Council. ` I <br /> The Mayor called attenti on to the study meetings to be held on July lOth and July i7th. ��i <br /> Councilman Weiss spoke about a meeting held at the Court House by the Central Coast Council 'I <br /> I <br /> of the State Chamber of Commerce. The meeting was held to discuss streets and high- �, <br /> �rays and their recommendations and suggestions to the State in re�ard to the matter , <br /> of Highway 107 which was not included in the report. City �ngineer Jain, Councilman � <br /> Weiss and Mr. Reifenrath addressed the meeting and were to bring Route #107 into the , <br /> � <br /> ` discussion which will include the widening of Woodside Road, �he Five Points inter- <br /> � � <br /> change and connection of Woodside Road to Skyline Boulevard. '1'he Centeral Coast <br /> Council will recoiranend immediate studies. <br /> Council�-an Granger referred to Mr. Spanglerts letter in the Tribune in regard to the <br /> lighting district in Oak Knoll Manor. The City Engineer stated that most of the <br /> street in that particular area is still in the County and that is why the lighting <br /> is still bein� handled by the County. He f�.irther stated that this is a legal matter. <br /> The City has installed one or two lights in the area. Councilman Granger moved that <br /> the matter be placed on the agenda and the proper authorities make a report at the <br /> next Council meeting, July 15th, seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried. <br /> Councilman Granger refe�red to items appearing in the Forum Column of the Tribune.
