The 1 Clerk read the letter �rherein Mr. Diobl�r recommended that the Crnxncil authorize the fil.ing of a Notice of � Completion. He pointed out in his 3etter that the specifications require the contractor to furnish the City �.th a Defecti�e Materials and Workmanship B ond in the amount of $��000 to hoZd good f or a period of one year from the cia,te of accepta:�ce of the work. The contractor will deliver this bond before the 3� day � lien period has expirPd. This was followed by discussion. Councilman Stout moned that they accept the I� building as based on the reconanendation of the architect� seconded by Councilman Weiss. This was followed by discussion i.n regard to whether or not they should have a written statement from the Building Inspector and Police Chief that the building is caapleted. The Buildiizg Inspector at�d Police Chief stated before the Cauncil that the build�.ng is eompleted. The motion carried. TYie City Attorney stated that this propo�ed ordinance is based upon matex�..a1 furnished by I�dr. Kimball obtained from tY�e minutes of the Study �deetings which considered these amendments and that the on],y changes in the appropriations from the 5¢ capital pro�ect tax consisted of increasing the amrnants necessary for alteration and renovation of �uni- cipal buildings. Cnuncilman �Peymouth offered introduction of an ordina.nce amending Sub-sect3.ons (a)� (i)� (k)� and (q) of Section 1, Sections 5� b� 9� 11� Sub-section (c) of Section 13, Sections 16 and 18� of Ordinance No. 863� being the annual A ppropriatian Ordinanee of the City of Redwood City f or the fiscal year Ju1y 1� 195?- June 30� 1958, a�d adding to said ordinance certain new sections to be numbered 6.1� 6.2s �i.3� 9.1� and 9.2 to provide revisions� cancellations and additions to the annual appropriations from various City Funds for the payment of Yunicipal Expenses during the fiscal year July l� 1957-June 30, 1958; and stating the effect thereof� seconded by Gounci7man Herkner and carried. City Engin�er reported on the nrogre�ss of Kentfield.-Pa7�-Valota Road and Vicinity Improverasnt District. They are not happy with the progress of the job and they have written the contractor asking that he get mare men to do the work. They are afraid the rains will set in before the job is finished.
