Thi.s action w�,s based on the lack of 'participatian on the part of the Sea Scout group. Councilman Spillers mo�red appraval of the recommendation of the Cormnittee. Acting Mayor Herkner stated that he wasn�t at t he meeting v�then this action was taken by the Committee and he stated that he did not understand the let— � ter. The +motirn� lost for lack of a secand. Councilr,�an Weiss moved that the matter be referred to the City A4anager for exY�loration ancl report back to the Council i!z t�ro weeks� soconded by Counci7man Stout. Crnzncilman Spi.11ers was of the opi.nion that they should take the word of the Park and Recreation Corrunission and not make a study on their report. This �vas fol,lowed by discussion. The City Ati:orne� s:�at�ed that this is under the jurisdictian of the Port and the City Manager should refer this ta the ?ort if he finds it should be denied. This �aas in— cluded in the motion v,rhich carried. �. Cauncilrnan t��'eiss moved that the City Manager check and explore the proper name to be used� Yach.t � � � Harbor or 1'Jlarine Harbor, seconded by Councilman Stout. This was followed by discussion. Counci7man Spillers was of the opir.ion tha�t; +his should be referred t o the Park and Recreation Corrm.�ission. This was included in the motion.
