4.1,;.91� <br /> Councilman Stout offered RESOLUTION 2196 REPEALING RESOLUTION 2078 RELATIVE TO RULES AND-REGULATIONS <br /> GOVERNING VETERANS MEMORIAL BUILDING and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried <br /> on roll call. <br /> INTRODUCE ORDINANCE ALLOCATING ANNEXATION FEES TO CAPITAL PROJECT FIND. The Clerk read the title of the <br /> ordinance. Councilman Weiss moved introduction of the ordinance, seconded by Councilman Herkner. <br /> Councilman Stout stated that he had hoped that the ordinance would tie down the use of the money. foong <br /> This was followed by discussion. Councilman Weiss feels that the ordinance is in proper form. The ovoid <br /> motion carried. <br /> Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION 2197 ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL PLAN LINES ON JEFFERSON AVENUE BETWEEN <br /> EL CAMINO R :AL AND MIDDT,FFIELD ROAD and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Stout. The City <br /> Clerk had, previous to the motion, read the title of the resolution. There was discussion following <br /> the seconding of the motion. Councilman Weiss stated that-he was still taking the stand that he took <br /> in previous Council action. The motion carried on roll call with Councilman Weiss voting NO. <br /> CITY ENGINEER RECOMMENDATION ACCEPTANCE GLENFAIR SUBDIVISION SUBJECT TO C''NDITIONS (SOUTHERLY END OF <br /> ROBLE AVENUE). The City Engineer recommended acceptance subject to the following condtions: <br /> 1. Correction of all defects in materials and workmanship which might appear within one year <br /> from date of acceptance. <br /> 2. Payment by the subdivider of all engineering and inspection charges due the City, before <br /> release of the performance bond. <br /> Councilman Spillers moved approval of the City Engineer's recommendation, seconded by Councilman <br /> Herkner and carried. <br /> AUTHORIZE CITY CLERK TO ACCEPT DEEDS TO TACOMA WAY PARCELS. This was recommended for acceptance by the <br /> City Engineer. Mr. Jain stated that in this case the City was almost forced into accepting the deeds. <br /> Councilman Spillers moved that the deeds be accepted, seconded by Councilman Weymouth. Councilman <br /> Weiss asked if the City would have to maintain the street. The City Attorney stated that the City <br /> would be responsible for the property but there will not be any street to maintain at present. Council- <br /> man Weiss wanted to know if the City could post the property and thus atop use of the property. The <br /> City Attorney recommended that they not post the property. The motion carried. <br /> PETITION PROPERTY OWNERS, GLENWOOD, BAIN PLACE AND BREEZE PLACE, REQUESTING ASSISTANCE OF E-IGTNEERING <br /> DEPARTMENT IN STUDIES FOR A POSSIBLE "RURAL STREET". The Clerk read the petition. Councilman Spillers <br /> moved that this be turned over to the City Engineer to bring to the study meeting with the Glennwoad <br /> Avenue residents. Mr. Jain stated that they could not recommend a rural street, however, they will <br /> make a simple survey and bring in a report of their findings. Councilman Weiss was of the opinion <br /> that in the interest of the property owners and the City as a whole, they should make it clear to the <br /> people that they will not approve the street work until the matter of the water lines -is cleared up. <br /> Councilman Weiss seconded the motion which arried. <br /> Poi <br /> GREAT WESTERN SHG S REQUEST PERMIT TO SHOW IN THIS CITY. Councilman Granger moved to send this to the woe <br /> Planning Commission and call their attention to the fact that there are two shows coming to Redwood City <br /> in July. He asked that they take this matter into consideration when they consider this new request. <br /> He asked that they make sure that they do not allow Great Western shows to interfere with the two <br /> scheduled affairs. The Fire Department recommended against this application. Councilman Spillers <br /> seconded the motion, the Fire Chief's letter to be sent to the Planning Commission also. The motion <br /> carried. <br /> BUDD STEVENSON REQUEST FOR PERMIT TO INSTALL 3" UNDERGROUND ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT ON WINSLOW STREET (Guaranty <br /> Savings & Loan Building, 2400 Broadway). The Clerk read the following letter: <br /> Our contract for the construction of subject job requires the installation of a 3" <br /> underground electrical conduit, leading from a P. G. & E. pole on the south side <br />
