This was followed by discussion. <br /> Councilman Weiss movedapprogal of the City Manager's recommendation and approval of the request, seconded <br /> by Councilman Stout. This was followed by ,discussion. .Councilman Granger asked that the City Attorney <br /> r check into the overhead rights. The City Attorney spoke about the matter of ingress and egress and also <br /> ,,,, encroachments. The City Attorney recommended that the City obtain the agreement mentioned in the City <br /> Manager's letter. This was followed by discussion and it was decided that they include in the agreement to <br /> have the entrance closed if the building is sold. The motion carried. <br /> Councilman Granger moved that the City Attorney look into the possibility of giving the Building Inspector <br /> [:: the authority to grant building permits when and if this situation appears agains, seconded by Councilman <br /> Spillers and carried. <br /> SEQUOIA HOSPITAL REQUEST FILL FROM RESERVOIR SirE. The Clerk r )ad the letter wherein the Sequoia Hospital Dist- <br /> " rict Board of Directors asked for consideration of allocation 6500 cubic yeards of fill from the proposed <br /> reservoir construction for the purpose of constructing a new parking lot at the hosital. It is their hope <br /> that the Council may see their way clear to assign this amount to fill to them without -charge. The City <br /> Manager, in his report, stated that he discussed this matter with the City Engineer, and it was Mr. Jain'b <br /> opinion that the successful contractor will be required to remove at least the above amount of fill under <br /> the terms of his bid. The City Manager stated that he would be glad to negotiate with the contractor for <br /> delivery to the hospital site, which he hopes, due to the shourt haul, may be accomplished without charge, <br /> or at least for a price not to exceed the City's cost. Councilman Herkner was of the opinion that this fill <br /> is of value to the City and he asked that the City Manager check into this matter again, and he so moved, <br /> r. seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br /> AUDITOR REQUEST AUTHORITY TO MAKE CORRECTIONS IN 1956-57 TAX ROLL.
