128 <br />ADDING SUBSECTION E TO SECTION 5, AND ADDING SUBSECTION H TO SECTION 6 cF ORDINANCE NO. 810 TO PROVIDE FOR <br />HEALTH DEPARTMENT APPROVAL OF PREMISES, PREPARING FOOD FOR PUBLIC SALE OR DISTRIBUTION AND EXEMPTING CERTAIN <br />BODIES FROM PAYMENT OF FEES and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried on roll ea11.9 <br />Councilman Spillers being noted absent. <br />ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE AMEND LiG ORDINANCE 863 AUTHORIZING TRANSFER CF $2,153 TO MUNICIPAL BUILDINGS SALARY ACCOUNT. <br />The affidavit of publication was ordered filed. Councilman Herkner offered ORDINANCE 882 AMEND- <br />ING SUBSECTION (u), SECTION 1, ORDINANCE NO. 8633 BEING THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 1957 -JUNE 30, 1958, TO PROVIDE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF <br />DEPARTMENT FOR SUPPLI.iS AND SERVICES and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried on <br />roll call, Councilman Spillers being noted absent. <br />Councilman Weiss offered introduction of an ordinance authorizing acquisition of real property from State and <br />appropriating $104.85 to cover said acquisition, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br />Councilman Herkner offered introduction of an ordinance appropriating $750 for razing Veterans Building, and <br />authorizing transfer of $3,723.29 from the Planning Department Salaries to Planning Department Supplies <br />and Services, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried, Councilman Weiss voting No. <br />Councilman Weymouth offered RESOLUTION 2378 ORDERING REFUND OF TAXES ERRONEOUSLY COLLECTED (Irma L. Tracy) and <br />moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried on roll call, Councilman Spillers being noted <br />absent. <br />Councilman Stout offered introduction of an ordinance amending salary plan of Maintenance Superintendent from <br />Range 42 to Range 44s seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried. <br />Councilman Weymouth offered RESOLUTION 2379 AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTTNG CITY MANAGER TO PROVIDE FOR THE CONTRI- <br />BUTION OF $7,600 TO THE CHAMBER OF COIMME FOR INDUSTRIAL AND CCA+MERCIAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE CITY BUDGET <br />FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1958-1959 and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried on roll <br />call, Councilman Spillers being noted absent. <br />Councilman Granger moved to advise the Port officials of the Council's participation ($7,600) with the Cham- <br />ber of Commerce on industrial development and ask the Port to participate in the City's share since there is <br />a possibility that part of the development will be at the Port, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br />Councilman Stout moved to authorize the City Clerk to accept the sanitary and storm drain easement in Farm Hill <br />No. 3 to service Farm Hill No. 5, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />Councilman Herkner moved to authorize the City Clerk to accept grant deeds to 12 million gallon water reservoir <br />site (Farm Hill), transrtissd.on main right-of-ways and ingress, egress and public utilities easement betmeen <br />Farm Hill Boulevard and Jefferson Avenue, in accordance with the recor rendation of the City Engineers sec- <br />onded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. <br />AUTHORITY TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS, LOAD PACKER., STREET CLEANING DEPARTMENT. Councilman Stout moved approval of <br />the City Manager's recommendation to advertise for bids, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />. <br />Councilman Granger offered RESOLUTION 2380 BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCTL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DECLARING <br />THAT, AND GIVING NOTICE THAT, PROCEEDINGS HAVE BEEN INITIATED BY IT ON ITS OTN MOTION TO ANNEX TO SAID CITY <br />CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY; DESCRIBING SAID TERRITORY, AND DESIGNATING IT BY THE NAME "HIGHUNDS TERRITORY <br />M <br />0 <br />0 <br />E <br />
