234 <br />Councilmen Herkner and Weiss voting no and Councilmen Granger, Rosselli, Spillers, and Weymouth and Mayor <br />Royer voting yes. <br />Reuel A. Myers, representing the Citizens for Government by the People,, -filed a petition giving notice that <br />it is their intention to circulate petitions calling for a referendum on the ordinance in question. <br />Councilman Wiess moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2580 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR BRUSH CHIPPER AND AUTHORIZING <br />CALL FOR BIDS THEREFORE, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried unanimously on roll call, The City <br />Manager was asked to give consideration, when setting this item up under the Equipment Replacement Fund, to <br />the advisability of dividing the cost between the Street and Park Departments, and look into possibility of <br />entering into agreement for joint use with R. C. Elementary School District. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOa&NDS APPROVAL OF R. D. SIFFORD'S APPLICATION TO REZONE LOTS 3, 4 AND 6, BLOCK 9, KENSING- <br />TON SQUARE, FROM -R-1 TO C -N DISTRICT (corner Alameda and Jefferson Avenue). Councilman Herkner moved to <br />set this matter for public hearing on November 17th, seconded by Councilman Spillers. Councilman Weiss asked <br />if the date could be changed to the 10th because he was vitally interested in this matter and he expected to <br />be on vacation the week of the 17th. The maker and second withdrew the motion to give the City Attorney time <br />to check the time element. <br />PETITION FOR ANNEXATION OF LOT "I" OF THE UNRECORDED RESUBDIVISION OF A PORTION OF LOr 18, JOHNSON SUBDIVISION, <br />HEREBY DESIGNATED BY US AS "HIGHLAINDS TERRIT(RY NO. 10". The Mayor asked the Clerk to receive and file re- <br />port of the Boundary Commission and receive and file petition for annexation. <br />Councilman Herkner moved to file the above mentioned documents and adopt RESCILUTION NO. 2581 BEING THE RES- <br />OLUTION CF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REMOD QTY GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN FIND- <br />INGS RESPECTING SAID PROPOSAL; AND GIVEING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE SAID COUNCIL WILL HEAR PROTESTS THERETO, <br />seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2582 APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR WATER CONNECTION AND RUTH- <br />..., <br />Ok=NG EXECUTION THEREOF (My Nin Weng and Iva Wong), seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried unanimously <br />on roll call* <br />FINAL ACOBPTANCE OF STCRM DRAINAGE PIPE IN THE CREEK CHANNEL ALONG ALTAMONT WAY, IN THE VICINITY OF MIDFIELD WAY. <br />Councilman Spillers moved to accept the work jubjeet to one year guarantee by the developer against defects <br />in materials and workmanship, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF STEVEN TRACT IMPROVEMENTS. Councilman Rosselli moved to accept the work subject to (1) one <br />year guarantee by the <br />developer against defects in materials <br />and workmanship, and <br />(2) payment of all engin- <br />eering and inspection <br />charges due the City before release of <br />the performance bond, <br />seconded by Councilman <br />Weymouth and carried. <br />Councilman Weiss moved to set the matter of the Planning Commission's recommendation approving R. D. Siffordts <br />application to rezone lots 3, 4 and 60 Block 9, Kensington Square, from R-1 to C -N District, for a public <br />hearing on November 10th, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />CITY OF PACIFICA notified the Council of a change in date on their First Anniversary Celebration from <br />November lath to Sunday, November 16th at 12:30 p.m. The City Clerk was asked to check later in the week <br />with the Council to see who would attend. The City Manager was asked to refer the matter of participation <br />in the parade to the Chamber of Commerce. <br />COUNTY OF SAN MATED, BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, regarding enforcement of curfew laws throughout the County. <br />The City Manager was asked to answer the letter and tell them that the City has an ordinance which is being <br />enforced. <br />MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATIONS OF AMERICA, INC. request permission to conduct their annual door to door <br />fund raising campaign on December 2nd.
