Councilman Weiss moved that the Planning Commission's recommendation be overruled and the application denied. The motion lost for lack of a second. Councilman Rosselli moved to deny the recommendation of the Planning Commission and refer the matter back to the Planning Commission for further consideration and waive the fee, seconded by Councilman Granger. The City Attorney advised that the correct procedure to reinstate this action by the Council was the adoption of a resolution of intention to rezone the property. The motion carried on roll call with Mayor Royer voting no and Councilman Spillers being noted absente Councilman Granger moved that the records show that the action of the Council last taken, based upon the evidence presented and considered by the Council, does not prejudice the rights of the Council to consider the matter again at a later time,'seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. Councilman Rosselli moved introduction of an crdinance amending sections 2, 2.49, 2.50, and 2.81 of Ordinance No. 824, being the Salary Ordinance of the City of Redwood City, and adding thereto a new section to be numbered 2.93, to provide revisions in the salary ranges of Assistant Water Superintendent, Civil Engineer Assistant, and City Planning Director, and to provide a salary range for the position of Deputy City Engineer, seconded by Councilman Weiss. After discussion on whether or not the classification of Deputy City Engineer was an entirely new classification or not, Councilman Weiss withdrew his second to the motion.
