AMENDED CLAIM FOR ALLEGED INJURIES TO EMILIA PACING. Councilman Spillers moved that the claim not be <br />accepted for filing and the City Clerk be directed to forward the same to the City Ia insurance carrier, <br />seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />APPEAL FROM B OARD OF ADJUSTMENTS DENIAL CF PETITION FOR VARIANCE FILED BY MR. CASTALDIs, PROPERTY OWNER 3302 <br />NOR9IAN STREET (file #58-248). Councilman R osselli moved to set the matter for public hearing on Jan- <br />uary 5th and directed the City Clerk to send notice in accordance with Section 20.5 of Ordinance No. <br />600, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />PURCHASE OF PROPERTY IN CONNECTION WITH PARKING DISTRICT NO. 1. Councilman Spillers moved adoption of <br />RESOLUTIMN NO. 2608 AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN DESCRIBED PROPERTY FOR CFF -STREET PARKING PUR- <br />POSES, PARKING DISTRICT NO. 1; AUTHORIZING THE EXCHANGE OF CERTAIN CITY-ONNED PROPERTY IN CONNECTION <br />THEREWITH; AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO GIVE PUBLIC NOTICE THEREOF* seconded by Councilman Weymouth. <br />The Clerk was in receipt of letter from -the City Assessor with regard to the assessed value of the <br />exchange property. The motion carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0, 2609 AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2508 TO MODIFY CONDITIONS <br />TO A VARIAADE GRANTED IN FAVOR OF CERTAIN DESIGNATED PROPERTY, seconded by _Councilman Rosselli and <br />carried on roll call, Councilman Weiss voting no. <br />Councilman Weiss moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 2610 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND MICHIE CITY PUBLICATIONS COMPANY OF LOS ANGELES FOR PRINTING3. BINDING, AND <br />CLERICAL SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH CODIFICATION OF CRDINANCES OF CITY OF REDWOOD QTY, seconddd by <br />Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Councilman Spillers moved to introduce an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 758, being the Traffic, Ordinance <br />of the City of Redwood City, by adding thereto Section 106, establishing regulations for limited truck <br />traffic routes and providing procedures for issuance of permits for hauling material thereon, seconded <br />by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />ORDINANCE REVISING BUDGET FISCAL 1958-59. Councilman Weiss moved that this ma tter be held up for one week <br />and the Council be furnished a copy of the ordinance. The motion lost for lack of a second. Councilman <br />Spillers moved to introduce an ordinance of the City of Redwood City amending the final budget of the <br />City of Redwood City for the fiscal year July 1, 1958 - June 30, 1959, to incorporate changes resulting <br />from the fixing of assessed valuation of property, and differences between estimated and actual cash <br />balance in designated funds on June 30, 19582, appropriating from the Unbudgeted, Unappropriated Balance <br />of the General Rind the sum of thirteen thousand one hundred and fifty dollars ($13,150.00) to certain <br />designated accounts, and transferring the sum of one thousand nine hundred and twenty four dollars <br />($13924.00) from the Recreation Department Capital Outlay Account to the Recreation Department Salaries <br />Account, seconded by Councilman Rosselli. Councilman Weiss asked the clerk to read the entire ordinance <br />after which the motion carried unanimously on roll. call. <br />REQUEST APPROVAL OF THE EXPENDITURE OF $1,000 FOR CONTIRIBUTION TOWARD STORM DRAIN FACILITIES IN THE FERN- <br />933)E-ALAMM VICINITY JOINT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND TOWN OF WOODSIDE.. Councilman Herkner moved <br />adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 2611 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR THE JOINT CONSTRU- <br />CTION., USE AND MAINTENANCE CF DRAINAGE CONDUIT BETWT CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND TOWN OF WOODSIDE, second- <br />ed by Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />STARS OF TOMORROW presented the City with four additional trophies. Miss Dorothy Roberts explained to the <br />Council and the audience when and where the trophies were won. They have now won a total of 61 trophies <br />and presented the Council, including those presented tonight, with a total of 54. The four trophies <br />presented tonight were won in competition in Pacificia, South San Francisco, Santa Clara and Walnut <br />Creek. <br />
