4. That as a result of the above mentioned examination I have ascertained that the attached <br />petition is insufficient and.is not signed by 10% of the voters of the City of Redwood City. <br />IN WITNESS WHERECF, I have hereunto set may hand and affixed the seal of the City of Redwood <br />City this 9th day of December, 1958. <br />The Mayor ordered the certificate filed. Councilman Spillers moved that the Clerk's certification be <br />confirmed by the Council and the petitions be deemed insufficient, seconded by Councilman Weymouth. <br />After considerable discussion, the motion carried on roll call with Councilman Granger, Rosselli, Spillers, <br />Weymouth and Mayor Royer voting yes and Councilmen Herkner and Weiss voting no. <br />Councilman Granger moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 2613 APPOINTING RCBERT YOUMAN TO THE REDWOCD CITY PLANNING <br />COMMISSION FOR THE UNEXPIRED TERM CF CARL TIEDEMANN, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried unanimously <br />on roll call. <br />PERSONNEL BOARD RECOMMENDS THE FOLLOWING CHANGES RELATING TO RULE XIII OF THE PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS; <br />1. Clarification of the term "Calendar week" to mean five (5) working days. <br />2. Qualification added that, "no vacation time is due any employee who is terminated prior to certification." <br />3. Clarification of sick leave and vacation leave provisions for police officers and firemen, by specifying <br />that vacation and sick leave are credited upon completion of six (6) months employment but, "vacation leave <br />may not be taken prior to completion of one (1) year service." <br />4.
