The Clerk was asked to place this natter on the <br />agenda for the next week at which time the City Engineer was to make a report. <br />Councilman Weiss asked about Duane, Clinton and Redwood Street Bridges, City Engineer Jain stated that as soon <br />as they f inished the assessment spread on Kentfield-Palm-Valota and Vicinity Improvements then they would <br />be able to continue work on the bridges. The Clerk was asked to place this matter on the agenda in 30 <br />days (March 3rd.). <br />Councilman Weiss referred to the City Manager's report of a year ago on gas tax money in conjunction with the <br />County. The affidavit of <br />publication was ordered filed. There being no protests, written or oral, Councilman Weymouth moved that <br />the public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. Councilman Weiss moved to confirm <br />the report of the Street Superintendent and a minute order be issued to reapportion the assessments, second- <br />ed by Councilman Stout and carried. <br />REPORT ON BID OPENING, STUFSAFT PARK COMFORT STATION. Bids opened 2-6-58. Councilman Stout offered RESOLUTION <br />238. AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF COMFORT STATION AT STULSAFT PARK; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS <br />RECEIVED, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR (J. D. Harms Corporation, $4,187.00) and moved its <br />adoption, seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried on roll call., Councilman Spillers being noted absent. <br />CITY MANAGER REPORT ON MARINE HARBOR ORDINANCE. Councilman Weiss moved to refer this back to the City Manager and <br />the City Attorney to conform with the original document submitted plus the recommendation of the City Manager <br />and bring the ordinance back in proper form. Councilman Weiss withdrew his motion and then moved to refer <br />this back to the City Manager to work jointly with the Committee and the City Attorney and come back with a <br />report, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried, Councilman Granger voting No. <br />WEED ABATEMENT COMMITTEE RECOI=NDATION, FINAL PAYMENT TO CONTRACTORS. Councilman Stout moved approval of the <br />Committee's recommendation to make the final payment to J. C. Throckmorton for spraying ($697.60) and to <br />C. J. Simms for disking ($2.7.52), seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. <br />
