Blk. 909, Lot 3, <br />Wilbur & Harriet Trice, for spraying in the amount of $7.60; reduce charges from $9.41 to $6.41 on <br />Arb. Blk. 39, Lot 22, Max L. Gelber, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. (Minute order) <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT ON BERGANTCN RESUBDIVISION. Councilman Granger offered RESOLUTION 2385 AUTHORIZING <br />ACCEPTANCE OF DEED FOR EASEMENT FOR STREET WIDENING AND OTHER PUBLIC PURPOSES and moved its adoption, <br />sec aided by Councilman Stout and carried on roll call, with Councilman Weiss voting No and Councilman <br />Spillers being noted absent. <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT ON COMMUNITY PARK CONDEMNATION SUIT, LOT 19, BLACK 38, CENTRAL PARK NO. 2. The City <br />Attorney reported that the final court order has been rendered on the judgement. <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT ON STATUS, REZONING., RESUBDIVISION AND OPTION WITH SHELL OIL C CMPANY PROPERTY ON <br />WHIPPLE AVENUE (Lots 2, 3 and 4, Block 13, Range D, Mezesville), The City Attorney reported that Shell <br />Oil Company has mailed the agreement back to New York for final signature. No Council action was nec- <br />essary. <br />PERSONAL APPEARANCE, PAUL TESSENDCRF. Mr. Tessendorf complimented the janitor on the way he kept the "Ments <br />Powder Room" downstairs in "ship-shape" condition. <br />PERSONAL APPEARANCE, MARY TRACY. Mrs. Tracy referred to Ordinance No. 600.82, Section 9 and asked the <br />Council to consider amending this section to include contractors and real estate or insurance offices <br />within the permitted usage. Councilman Herkner moved to refer the matter to the Planning Commission <br />for their recommendation, seconded by Councilman Stout who asked that a copy of the letter be referred <br />to the City Attorney for his approval. Councilman Weiss moved that the report be accepted and <br />taken under advisement by the Council that a study meeting be held a week from Wednesday, seconded by <br />Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />Councilman Granger offered RESOLUTION 2386 DESIGNATING PRECINCTS AND POLLING PLACES AND APPOINTING MEMBERS <br />OF PRECINCT BOARDS FOR GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, APRIL 81 1958 and moved its <br />adoption, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried on roll call, Councilman Spillers being noted <br />absent. <br />Councilman Herber offered RESOLUTION 2387 DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY DEMAND AC- <br />QUISITION, CONSTRUCTION AND COMPLETION BY THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF THE F OLLO@ffING MUNICIPAL IMPROVE- <br />MENTS, AND EACH OF THEM, TO WIT« (A) SANITARY SEPPAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS AND (B) PORT <br />IMPROVEMENTS; AND THAT THE COST OF SAID MUNICIPAL IMPROVE1:1ENTS, AND EACH OF THEM, WILL REQUIRE AN EX- <br />PENDITURE GREATER THAN THE AMOUNT ALLOMED THEREFOR BY THE ANNUAL TAX LEVY and moved its adoption, <br />r-- seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried on roll call, Councilman Spillers being noted absent. <br />�.. Councilman Granger offered introduction of an ordinance calling a Special Municipal Bond Election in the <br />City of Redwood City for the purpose of submitting to the electors of said City the measures of in- <br />curring bonded indebtedness of said city for the acquisition, construction and c ompletion of the follows <br />ing municipal improvements, to wit: (A) sanitary sewage disposal system improvements, and (B) Port <br />Improvements; declaring the estimated cost of said municipal improvements, and each thereof, the amount <br />of the principal of said indebtedness to be incurred therefor, and the maximum rate of interest to be <br />paid thereon; making provision for the levy and collection of taxes; fixing the date of said election, <br />the manner of holding the same, providing for notice thereof, and consolidating said Special Municipal <br />Bond Election with the General Municipal Election to be held on April 8, 1958, seconded by Councilman <br />Weymouth and carried on roll call, Councilman Weiss voting No and Councilman Spillers being noted absent. <br />
