120 <br />Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION 2361 AUTHORIZING VARIANCE TO ALLOK FENCE WITHIN 200 FEET OF BAYSHORE <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY (Van Sidebottom., 1831 Bayshore) and moved its adoption., seconded by Councilman Granger and car- <br />ried on roll call.. Councilman Weiss voting No. <br />COUNCILMAN WEISS COMMUNICATION TO CITY CLERK REGARDING RECORDING OF MINUTES, Councilman Weymouth moed to refer <br />the letter to the City Attorney for interpretation., seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried* <br />CITY MANAGER REPORT ON ATTORNEY DABAIS REQUEST FOR COMPROMISE ON DELINQUENT TAXES AND ASSESSMENTS AGAINST LOTS <br />14 & 21.* BLOCK 19# WEST REDWOOD* Councilman Spillers moved to accept the recommendation of the City Manager <br />and City Collector to accept the offer of $1j,200. for the two lots plus payment of the current -.sidewalk lien <br />in the amount of $888.38, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried on roll call with Councilmen Herkners <br />Stout and Weiss voting No and Councilmen Granger., Spillers., Weymouth and Mayor Royer voting Yes* <br />CITY MANAGER REPORT ON SAN -WOOD GOIF RANGE. The City Manager reported verbally that substantial improvements <br />have been made and other improvements are contemplated* The District Attorney will keep in contact with <br />the situation and in the event they find the improvements are not being made they will take the necessary <br />action. <br />CITY ENGINEER REPORT ON REQUEST FOR PERMISSION TO INSTALL CONCRETE STEPPING STONES IN FRONT OF 78 MELROSE PLACE, <br />Councilman Spillers moved approval of the City Engineer's recommendation for removable stepping stones., sec- <br />onded by Councilman Herkner and carried on roll call with Councilmen Grangers Stout and Weiss voting No. <br />Councilman Weiss offered introduction of an ordinance amending the Food Ordinance clarifying definition of food <br />establishmentsp seconded by Councilman Stout and carried* <br />Councilman Weymouth offered ORDINANCE 879 REGULATING WATER GMACT SPORTS AND ACTIVITTES and moved its adoptions <br />seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried unanimously on roll call* <br />LETTER FROM THE CITY MANAGER REQUESTING ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF $5.,000 FROM UNBUDGETED RESERVE TO PAINT DE- <br />PARTMENT SUPPLIES AND SERVICES* Councilman Granger moved approval of the City Manager's letter and author- <br />ized the City Attorney to prepare the necessary ordinance., seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried* <br />LETTER FROM THE DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS REGARDING LANDSCAPING FREENAY* (City Manager's reply atta ched.) Council- <br />man Granger moved that this matter be placed an the agenda for a report on January 21,, seconded by Council- <br />man Herkner and carried* <br />PETITION CONTAINING 15 SIGNATURES OF EL CAMINO MERCHANTES REQUESTING ABANDONMENT OF TREE PLANTING PROGRAM. Council- <br />man Granger moved to proceed with the project of planting the trees, seconded by Councilman Spillers and <br />carried* Councilman Herkner moved that the petition be acknowledged and the petitioners told the type of trees., <br />seconded by Councilman Stout and carried, <br />LETTER FROM FARM HILL COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION REQUESTING STREET SIGNS. Councilman Granger moved that every effort be <br />made to erect the signs and the Clerk to notify the Association that the Council is attempting to erect signs <br />whenever the money is available., secon&-id by Councilman Weiss and carried. <br />REQUEST AUTHORITY TO RE -APPORTION ASSESSMENTS 2-B AND 2-C., INDUSTRIAL WAY IMPROVEMENTS.
