Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION 2393 AWARDING <br />CONTRACT FOR FUNISHING AND INSTALLING OF NEW MOTOR FOR FIRE APPARATUS ENGINE NO. 2, REDWOOD CITY FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT; AND REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Stout <br />and carried unanimously on roll call. (Coast Apparatus Incorporated, $4064.25) <br />CLAIM FOR ALLEGED DAMAGES TO AUTO AT BAYSHORE SERVICE ROAD AND SECOND AVENUE (Henry E. Sandham). Councilman <br />Spillers moved that the claim be denied and referred to the insurance carrier, seconded by Councilman <br />Weymouth and carried. <br />Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION 2394 AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO QUITCLAIM INTEREST OF REDWOOD <br />CITY IN PUBLIC UTILITIES EASEMENT IN LOT 1, BLOCK 1, ROBELET SUBDIVISION and moved its adoption, second— <br />ed by Councilman Stout and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Councilman Spillers offered ORDINANCE 889 PROVIDING FOR THE SUSPENSION OF ORDINANCE NO. 846 RELATIVE TO THE <br />ALLOCATION OF CERTAIN REVENUES OF THE CITY, ESTABLISHMENT OF MAXIMUM TAX RATE, AND SUBMISSION OF A MEAS- <br />URE AT THE NEXT MUNICIPAL ELECTION REGARDING SAID MATTERS AND moved its adoption, seconded by Council- <br />man Weiss and carried unanimously on roll call. The affidavit of publication was ordered filed. <br />FURTHER DISCUSSION REGARDING PROPOSED ORDINANCE FIXING TIME OF APPEALS, SIDEWALK ORDINANCE. Councilman Stout <br />offered introduction of the ordinance, seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried. <br />Councilman Granger offered RESOLUTION 2395 PROPOSING CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AND ORDERING SIBMISSION THEREOF TO THE ELECTORS OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HEIR IN THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, APRIL 8, 1958s and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried <br />unanimously on roll call. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION REGARIiING OFFICIAL PLAN LINES, SIERRA STREET EXTENSION. Councilman Stout moved <br />to set this matter for public hearing on March 17th, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />PLANNING CO WSSION RECOMMENDED SUB -STANDARD CONDITIONS ASREQUESTED BY HERB FRAHM IN FARM HILL NO, 5• The Clerk <br />read the resolution of the Planning Commission. Councilman Stout moved to hold this matter up for a <br />stud meeting to consider all the facts (Wednesday, February 26th), seconded by Councilman Weiss. The <br />motion lost on roll call aith Councilmen Herkner, Stout and Weiss voting Yes and Councilmen Granger, <br />Spillers, Weymouth and Mayor Royer voting No. <br />Councilman Spillers moved to accept the Planning Commission's recommendation which was concurred in by <br />the City Engineer and the Fire Chief and referred the matter to the City Attorney for the necessary re- <br />solution, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried on roll call, Councilmen Stout and Weiss voting No. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMEND COUNTY -WIDE HOUSE RE -NUMBERING SURVEY. Coun- <br />cilman Stout moved that the report be accepted and the matter be removed from the agenda, seconded by <br />Councilman Spillers, Councilman Weiss amended the motion to accept the Committee's report and they ask <br />the Traffic Committee to make a restudy in four months from this date (June 23rd), seconded by Councilman <br />Granger and carried, Councilman Spillers voting No. <br />
