Councilman Herkner moved that this matter be referred to the Real Estate Cormiittee for a report and appraisal by next week, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. SUGGESTED FORMULA FOR DISTRIBUTION OF COUNTY GAS TAR FUNDS. The Mayor stated that there was to be a meeting on MarcH 6th on this topic. Councilman Weiss moved that this be carried on the agenda until March 10th at which time the City Engineer will make a report with regard to the March 6th meeting, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE ANNEXING WHIPPLE AVENUE AREA. The affidavit of publication was ordered filed. Councilman Herkner offered ORDINANCE 890 APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED "WHIPPLE AVENUE'r., DESCRIBING SAID TERRIT(RY, AND ANNEXING SAID TERRITORY TO SAID CITY OF FOOD CITY and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried unanimously on roll call. Councilman Spillers offered introduction of an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 600 to rezone portion of Lot 14, Block Ep Woodside Acres No. 12 from R-2 to R-3 (McCavitt property), seconded by Councilman Weymouth. The motion carried on roll call with Councilman Weiss voting No. Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION 2396 AFFIRMING ISSUANCE OF A USE PER4IT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A MOTEL AT 811 WHIPPLE AVENUE, REDWOCD CITY, and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried on roll call, Countilmen Granger and Stout voting No. Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION 2397 AUTHORIZING THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO APPROVE THE TENTATIVE MAP OF FARM HILL NO. 5 SUBDIVISION WITH DESIGNATED EXCEPTIONS TO CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 631, BEING THE SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried on roll call, Councilmen Stout and Weiss voting No. Councilman Weiss moved that his prepared statement be made a part of the minutes, seconded by Councilman Stout. This motion lost on roll call with Councilmen Granger, Herkner, Spillers, Weymouth and Mayor Royer voting No. Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION 2398 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT BETWEEN OAK KNOLL SEWER MAINTEN- ANCE DISTRICT AND CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FOR SEWAGE TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried unanimously on roll call. Councilman Weymouth offered RESOLUTION 2599 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT TO MODIFY LEASE BETWEEN CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN MATEO FOR ANIMAL SHELTER and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried unanimously on roll call. Councilman Stout offered RESOLUTION 24oO ESTABLISHING AND DECLARING CERTAIN DESIGNATED ENTRANCES TO DESIGNATED INTERSECTION TO BE STOP ENTRANCES (17th Avenue and Page Street) and moved its adoption, seconded by Council- man Herkner and carried unanimously on roll call. Councilman Stout offered RESOLUTION 2401 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION BY THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER OF OPTION IN FAVOR OF CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO PURCHASE PORTION OF LOT 4, BLOCK 13, RANGE D, TOWN CF MEZES- VILLE and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried unanimously on roll call. Councilman Spillers offered introduction of an ordinance amending Ordinance 600 to rezone lots 1, 2, 3 and portion of Lot 4, Block 139 Range D, Mezesville from R-4 to C-1 District, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried.
