156 Councilman Stout offered RESOLUTION 2428 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT OF ALAMEDA D$ LAS PULGAS (MASS- ACHUSETTS AVENUE TO FERNSIDE STREET) M. C. S. PROJECT N0. 73; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AND AUTHOR- IZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR (Cotherman & Judd, Inc.) and moved its adoption, seconded by Council- man Weiss and carried on roll call, Councilman Spillers being noted a bsent. REPORT ON BID OPENING, POLICE DEPARTMENT AUTOMOBILE. Councilman Weymouth moved to refer this to the City Attorney for a report April 213 seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. CITY MANAGER REPORT ON M. BERNI COMPLAINT REGARDING DRAINAGE 'ON TACOMA WAY. Councilman Herkner moved that the re- port be accepteds Mr. Jain contact Mr. Berni and send a copy of his letter to Mr. Berns seconded by Council- man Stout and carried. Councilman Weymouth offered RESOLUTION 2129 AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF SUBDIVISION MAP WITH EXCEPTION TO CERTAIN PROVISIONSOF ORDINANCE N0: 6319 BEING THE SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY and moved its mod adoption, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried on roll call, Councilman Spillers being noted absent. (Lots 5, 6 and portion of Lot 7, Block 2, W. W. & M. Resub, Lot 12 - 1130 King Street) Councilman Granger offered RESOLUTION 2430 AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF SUBDIVISION MAP WITH EXCEPTIONS TO CERTAIN PROVISIONSOF ORDINANCE NO. 631, BEING THE SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY (portion of lot 11, Block Ep Woodside Acres - 1606 Kentfield Avenue) and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried on roll call, Councilman Weiss voting no and Councilman Spillers being noted absent. Councilman Weiss moved that his statement be included in the minutes. This motion lost for lack of a second. Councilman Stout offered RESO;,UTION 2431 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY FOR MAINTENANCE OF WATER PIPE LINE UNDER SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRACKS ON'HARBOR BOULEVARD and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried on roll call, Councilman Spillers being noted absent. Councilman Herkner offered RESOLUTION 2432 REQUESTING REMOVAL OF REAL PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY CITY OF REDWOOD CITY 004 FROM COUNTY ASSESSMENT ROLLS AND CANCELLATION OF OUTSTANDING TAXES THEREON (Industrial Way - Tangemenn) and .-.i moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried on roll call, Councilman Spillers being noted absent. Councilman Weymouth offered RESOLUTION 2433 REQUESTING REMOVAL OF REAL PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FROM COUNTY ASSESSMENT ROLLS AND CANCELLATION OF OUTSTANDING TAXES THEREON (Industrial Way - Reviglio) and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman lie iss and carried on roll. call, Councilman Spillers being noted absent. LETTER FROM THE REDWOOD CITY TRIBUNE REGARDING ANNUAL FLORAL FESTIVAL EDITION. Councilman Weymouth moved to re- fer the letter to the City Manager for budget study, seconded by Councilman Stout. Councilman Weiss amend- ed the motion that the City Manager in considering this for the budget also ask the Port, and Chamber of Commerce to see if they would like to participate with the City, seconded by Councilman 'Stout and carried. Councilman Granger moved that the City Attorney submit: an opinion in writing as to this type of action, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. The Mayor announced that there would not be a study meeting on Wednesday night, April 9th. Councilman Weiss spoke about the drainage problem in Redwood City, He read a prepared statement and moved to refer the matter of drainage control to the City Manager for a preliminary report and a recommendation as to procedure, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. Councilman Weiss referred to item #8 on the Planning Commission's agenda for April. 8th. Councilman Weiss moved that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare the proper amendment to the zoning ordinance with regard to use permits. The motion was withdrawn. Councilman Weiss moved that this matter be taken under advisement at a study meeting, the -Planning Commission to give it separate consideration. There wasn't any second to the motion.
