Councilman Stout <br />moved that the report be accepteds the City Manager's request to be granted and referred the matter to <br />the City Attorney to prepare the necessary papersp seconded by Councilman Granger and carried* Council— <br />man Weiss voting No. <br />Councilman Stout offered introduction of an ordinance transferring $5.,000 from Unbudgeted Reserve to the <br />Paint Departments seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />Councilman Weymouth offered RESOLUTION 2373 ACCEPTING SURPLUS PROPERTY FROM THE STATE EDUCATIONAL AGENCY <br />(22 ton Stake Truck IHCs USA 41098951s Chassis No. A 1192s S/1W 24195) and moved its adoptions second— <br />ad by Councilman Weiss and carried on roll calls Councilman Spillers being noted absent. <br />Councilman Granger offered RESOLUTION 2374 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING CALL FOR BIDS <br />FOR "COMFORT STATION AT STULSAFT PARK" and moved its adoptions seconded by Councilman Stout and carried <br />on roll call., Councilman Spillers being noted absent* <br />Councilman Stout, offered RESOLUTION 2375 DIRECTING REMOVAL OF PARKING METERS MIDDLEFIELD ROAD AND JEFFERSON <br />AVENUES ADJACENT TO CITY HALL and moved its adoptions seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried on roll <br />call., Councilman Spillers being noted absent. <br />Councilman Herkner offered RESOLUTION 2376 AUTHORIZING ABANDONMENT CF STORM DRAINAGE EASEMENT SITUATED WITH— <br />IN FARM HILL SUBDIVISION NO. 3 and moved its adoptions seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried an <br />roll calls Councilman Spillers being noted absent* <br />The City Clark read two letters submitted by the City Engineers one an the abandonment of storm drain— <br />age easements Block 3$ Farm Hill No. 3 and the other regarding a grant deed for easement for storm <br />drainage purposes Block 3s Farm Hill No. 3* <br />DISCUSSION RELATIVE TO PROPOSED CLOSING OF CITY DUMP. The City Manager reported that burning at the dumps <br />would stop February 15th. Councilman Herkner reported that the incinerator would be ready by the first <br />of February, , Councilman Weiss moved that the City Manager place a display ad in the Tribune advising <br />the public about the closing of the City Dump., seconded by Councilman Granger and carried* The City <br />Manager was asked to check into the matter of the Garbage Company giving curb service on rubbish pick— <br />up at a monthly service rate* <br />CONSIDERATION OF PROPOSED AGREEMENT WITH OAK KNOLL SEWER MAINTENANCE DISTRICT. Councilman Herkner moved <br />acceptance of the City Engineer's report and the City Attorney was requested to prepare the necessary <br />resolution* After some discussions Councilman Herkner withdrew his motion and then moved that the <br />City Manager investigate this matter and make a recommendation at the next Council meeting., seconded <br />by Councilman Weiss and carried. <br />.Councilman Weiss moved that the City Manager be instructed to contact the County officials and get <br />,their thinking on the matter of County participation in the proposed enlargement of the Sewage Treat— <br />ment Plant., seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried* <br />PERSONNEL BOARD RXCO14MENDATION TO INCREASE MAINTENANCE SUPERINTENDENT FROM RANGE 42 TO RANGE 46 Council— <br />man Weymouth moved approval of the Personnel Board's recommendation and referred the matter to the <br />City Attorney for the necessary ordinance., seconded by Councilman Granger and carried* <br />Councilman Herkner moved that the Personnel Board investigate the possiblity of raising the rate of <br />the.Water Meter Reader possibly two steps., seconded by Councilman Granger and carried* <br />
