PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION TO AMEND ORDINANCE 600 TO REZONE MARSHALL STREET BETWEEN MAPLE AND CHESTNUT <br />TO ESTABLISH "H" DISTRICT (to C-3 F—H). Councilman Stout moved to set the matter for public hearing two <br />weeks from tonight, January 27th, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMEND ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL PLAN LINES ON REGENT STREET btt rvvbt v REDWOOD AVENUE AND <br />WOODSIDE ROAD. Councilman Granger moved to set this matter for public hearing two weeks from tonight, <br />January 27th, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br />CITY MANAGER RECObMENDATION REGARDING DEMOLISHING OF THE QLD VETERANS BUILDING AT THE CORNER OF STANDISH AND <br />WARREN STREETS. Councilman Stout moved that the bids be held in abeyance for one week and the Building <br />Inspector, with the assistance of two contractors of his chibice along with an architect, see if it is pos— <br />sible to salvage some of the material, seconded by Councilman Herkner* The motion lost on roll call with <br />Councilmen Granger, Weiss, Weymouth and Mayor Royer voting No, Councilmen Herkner and Stout voting Yes <br />and Councilman Spillers being noted absent. <br />Councilman Granger moved to accept the low bid of Douglass and Woodhouse, $750.00, the proper legal forms <br />to be made and the proper insurance to be obtained, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried.. <br />SCOUT TROOP 127 REQUESTED PERMISSION TO USE AN UNOCCUPIED STRIP OF THE NEW PARKING LOT ON MIDDLEFIELD AND <br />THEATER STREETS FEBRUARY 8th during Scout Week for the purpose of a Civil Defense display. Councilman <br />Stout moved approval of the request subject to the appropriate insurance, seconded by Councilman Herkner <br />and carried, Mayor Royer voting No. <br />Councilman Weiss asked how they were progressing on the Farm Hill water situation. City Engineer Jain reported <br />that they were waiting for more details from the subdivider <br />Councilman Weiss asked about the Charter amendments. Mayor Royer stated that they had one meeting and were <br />planning another sometime soon. <br />Councilman Herkner asked that the City Manager be requested to make a report next week with regard to the pro- <br />posed reservoir in back of Sequoia Hospital. <br />Councilman Granger asked about the statue in Union Cemetery. The City Manager reported that a purchase order <br />had been issued to have the work done. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved that the meeting be adjourned to Tuesday, January 21vt, at 8:00 p.m., seconded by <br />Councilman Herkner and carried. R olison, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, City Attorney Robert J. Costello, <br />Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, Assistant Water Superintendent Warren Mitchell, Police Lieutenant Joel Mansfield, <br />City Collector Paul Perrin, Planning Director William Rodgers, Assistant to the City Manager L. A. Kimball, <br />Water Superintendent H. L.
