177 <br />Councilman Herkner offered ORDINANCE 898 ESTABLISHING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE OPERATION OF THE REDWOOD <br />CITY MARINE HARBOR AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 166 and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Weiss <br />and carried on roll call, Councilman Granger beeing noted absent. The affidavit of publication was <br />ordered filed. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON APPEAL FROM GRANTING OF USE PERMIT BY THE PLANNING COWSSION ON LOCATION OF WATER RESER- <br />VOIR., <br />ESERVOIR, FARM HILL NO. 4 (Continued from 4--28-58 meeting). The notice of mailing notice of public hear- <br />ing was ordered filed. After a very lengthy discussion both in favor and aginst the locations Council- <br />man Spillers moved that the public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved that the granting of the usepermit recommended by the Planning Commission be <br />denied, seconded by Councilman Weiss. The motion lost on roll call with Councilmen Herkner, Spillers, <br />Weymouth and Mayor Royer voting No. Councilmen Rosselli and Weiss voting Yes and Councilman Granger <br />being noted absent. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved that the permit be granted on the condition that the tank would be set back <br />20t on the lot, trees would be planted and all the conditions made by the Planning Commission are met, <br />seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call# Councilman Weiss voting No and Councilman <br />Granger being noted absent. <br />COUNCILMAN SPILLERS ASKED FOR RECONSIDERATION OF W-1 ROUTE. After considerable discussion, Councilman <br />Herkner moved that the Council reaffirm their action on Route "B" and ask the State for aid pertaining <br />to the connection of Farm Hills Boulevard and possibly Jefferson Avenue if necessary, seconded by Council- <br />man Weiss who asked that it be added to the motion that the City Manager attend the meeting urging the <br />State to share in the expenses of the interchange. The motion carried on roll call with Councilman <br />Spillers voting No and Councilman Granger being noted absent. <br />6W There was a five minute recess after which the meeting was called back to order at 10:30 p.m. <br />After some discussion, Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION 2458 APPROVING PROPOSED EXTENSION OF <br />JUNIPERO SERRA FREEMU ALONG ROUTE "B" AND URGING ESTABLISHMENT OF INTERCHANGE FACILITIES AT THE INTER- <br />SECTION OF SUCH PROPOSED ROUTE AT EDGENOOD ROAD, FARM HILL BOULEVARD, AND JEFFERSON AVENUE, IN THE <br />COUNTY OF SAN MATEO and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call, <br />Councilman Granger being noted absent. <br />REQUEST OF THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT FOR A CHANGE CF GRADE PROCEDURE ON BRADFORD STREET BETWEEN JEFFERSON <br />AVENUE AND MAIN STREET., Councilman Herkner moved that an the recommendation of the City Manager, the <br />matter be referred to the City Attorney, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />PETITION FOR STORM DRAINAGE DISTRICT ( Oak Knoll Drive and Westgate area - 5 signatures on petition). <br />Councilman Weiss moved to refer the matter to the City Manager for further study, seconded by Crnzncilman <br />Spillers and carried. <br />REQUEST BY SUBDIVISION COMMITTEE FOR AUTHORIZATION OF THE CITY CLERK TO ACCEPT DEEDS FOR 51 STRIP FOR WIDEN- <br />ING ON VALOTA ROAD (Portion of Lot 13, Valota Park - one deed from Molin and mother deed from Westby <br />and Lyssand). Councilman Spillersmovedto authorize the City Clerk to accept the deeds, seconded by <br />Councilman Rosselli and carried. Councilman Weiss voting No. <br />CLAIM FOR ALLEGED INJURIES JOHN WESLEY KENNEDY RECEIVED IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT INVOLVING CITY TRUCK. Councilman <br />Weiss moved to deny the claim and referred it to our insurance carrier, seconded by Councilman Rosselli <br />and carried. <br />CLAIM FOR ALLEGED DAMAGES ALB ERT J. BOITANO RECEIVED IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT INVOLVING CITY TRUCK. Councilman <br />Weymouth moved to deny the claim and referred the matter to our insurance carrier, seconded by Council- <br />man Herkner and carried. <br />
