X78 <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED DENIAL OF THE PETITION OF WILLIAM & MARY EGA TO REZONE LOTS is 2 AND 32, <br />BLOCK 4s CENTRAL PARK N0. 4, also knows as 700 James Avenues from R-1 District to R -3-G District. <br />Councilman Spillers moved to set this matter for public hearing in two weeks May 19th, seconded by <br />Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVING A PPLICAT ION OF A HOUSE MOVING PERMIT BY TED SEUFERT SW JECT TO THE <br />FOLLOWING CONDITIONS <br />1. That the house not be moted to ar;y location in Redwood City or its immediate area because <br />the house has to be cut in two. <br />2. That the route be approved by the Park Department from its present location to the City <br />limits for street tree protection. <br />3. That the applicant meets necessary bounding requirements by the City Engineer. <br />rrri <br />Councilman Rosselli moved approval of the application subject to the conditions, seconded by Councilman <br />Herkner and carried. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />The following communications were read, and Council action was not necessary. <br />C. G. Uhlenberg & Co. letter regarding quarterly audit of City books. <br />Assemblyman Louis Francis regarding proposed amendment to the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit <br />District Act. <br />E. G. Tiegel regarding removal of trees on E1 Camino Real. <br />San Mateo County Fair Association regarding Dream Girl Contest, Councilman Weiss moved to refer the natter <br />to the Chamber of Comm►&e6,'seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />Peninsula Chapter of the City of Hope request permission to conduct a Volunteer Mothert' March on June <br />4th. It was decided that Council action was not necessary however, they were asked to obtain a <br />permit frau the Police Department. <br />Stone Jewelers, 2417 Broadway, request permission to conduct a CLOSE OUT SALE fran May 7th through June <br />30th. Councilman Spillers moved approval of the request with the understanding that no additional <br />jewelry would be added to the inventory, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />County Clerk letter with reference to meeting May 12th in the Chambers of the Board of Supervisors for <br />the purpose of making an appointment to the Board of Directors to Bay Area Air Polution Control <br />District. The City Manager was asked to remind the Mayor of the meeting. <br />Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION 2459 TRANSFERRING AND APPROPRIATING $483.03 FROM UNBUDGETED UNAPPROP- <br />RIATED BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND TO GENERAL GOVERNMENT FOR MISCELLANEOUS EXPENDITURES TO STATED ASSESS- <br />MENT DISTRICTS and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call, Council- <br />man Granger being noted absent. <br />Councilman Weiss offered introduction of ordinance amending Sections 3 and 6 of Article I of Ordinance No. 639 <br />(Sidewalk and Driveway Ordinance) to fix time within which appeal may be made to show cause why work should <br />not be done dr time extended; and repealing Ordinance No. 891, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. <br />Councilman Rosselli offered RESOLUTION 2460 ESTABLISHING AND DECLARING CERTAIN DESIGNATED ENTRANCE TO DESIGNATED <br />INTERSECTION TO BE STOP ENTRANCE (Farm Hill Boulevard at its northerly entrance to Glennan Drive) and moved <br />its adoptions seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried on roll call, Councilman Granger being noted absent. <br />CITY ATTORNEY REQUEST AUTHORIZATION OF CITY CLERK TO ACCEPT A QUIT CLAIM DEED FROM THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO TO <br />THE CITY (Portionof Lot 27s Block lls Highlands of Emerald Lake), Councilman Weiss moved to authorize the <br />City Clerk to accept the deeds seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />CITY ATTORNEY OPINION REGARDING BIDS RECEIVED FOR THE IAAD PACKING TRUCK (City Clerk's file - 1.
