<br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES, June 16th and June 23rd. Councilman Weiss asked that the minutes of June 23rd be corrected -
<br />Page 1, last paragraph, sixth and seventh sentences. Change to read as "and the land use plan along Wood-
<br />side Road" and "or a lesser density zoning". Councilman Weiss moved that the minutes be approved as correct-
<br />ed., -seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried.
<br />CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER APPEAL FROM PLANNING COMMISSION'S DENIAL OF LOT SIZE AND LOT FRONTAGE
<br />REQUIREMENTS OF THE SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE WITH RESPECT TO PORTIONS OF LOTS C AND E, MAP NO. 2 OF WOOSTER,
<br />WHITTON AND MONTGOMERY SUBDIVISION (P.C. Case #58-37 - Peter Giovannoni, 137 Roosevelt Avenue). After read-
<br />ing astatement, Councilman Weiss moved that the public hearing be continued to July 21st and the City At-
<br />torney be required to prepare an opinion on the problem as to the proper procedure. The motion lost for
<br />lack of a second.
<br />Councilman Weymouth moved to continue the public hearing until July 21st, seconded by Councilman Spillers
<br />and carried on roll call, Councilman Weiss voting No and Councilman Granger being noted absent.
<br />Councilman Weiss moved that the City Attorney, in view of the fact that he, Councilman Weiss, believes that
<br />this matter has been compromised, bring in a written opinion as to whether they can proceed in the matter.
<br />The motion lost for lack of a second.
<br />PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF OFFICIAL PLAN LINES FOR INTERIOR STREET BETWEEN UPLAND AND CANYON ROADS
<br />FROM OAK KNOLL, DRIVE 1000 FEET SOUTHEASTERLY TO AND INCLUDING A STREET CONNECTING UPLAND AND CANYON ROADS.
<br />The affidavit of publication was ordered filed. The Clerk read the letter from the Planning Commission.
<br />There being no protests, written or oral, Councilman Spillers moved that the public hearing be closed, sec-
<br />onded by Councilman Herkner and carried. Councilman Spillers moved to instruct the City Attorney to prepare
<br />a resolution establishing plan lines in accordance with the Planning Commission's -recommendation, seconded
<br />by Councilman Weymouth and carried, Councilman Weiss voting No.
<br />PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE APPLICATION OF THE MID -PENINSULA CAB CO. INC. FOR A CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC NEC-
<br />ESSITY AND CONVENIENCE FOR THE OPERATION OF TWENTY ,TAXICABS IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY. The affidavit
<br />of publication was ordered filed. Councilman Herkner disqualified himself because of financial interest
<br />in the property. There being no protests, written or oral, Councilman Spillers moved that the public hear-
<br />ing be closed, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. Councilman Weymouth moved adoption of RESOL
<br />UTION NO. 2505 GRANTING CERTIFICATION OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND "JECESSITY FOR THE OPERATION OF 20 TAXICABS
<br />IN.THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY BY MID -PENINSULA CAB COMPANY, INC., seconded by Councilman Rosselli and car-
<br />ried on roll call.
<br />Councilman Granger being noted absent and Councilman Herkner abstaining for reasons stated
<br />above.
<br />Councilman Weiss moved adoption of ORDINANCE NO. 906 AMENDING SECTIONS 1, 2.101, AND 2.151 OF ORDINANCE NO. 821,
<br />BEING THE SALARY ORDINANCE, PROVIDING FOR A 5.74% SALARY INCREASE TO THE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD
<br />CITY, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried an roll call, Councilman Granger being noted absent. The
