Councilman Herkner moved to approve the conditions stated in <br />the City Manager's report and directed the City Attorney to prepare the necessary contract and ordinance, <br />seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />WOODSIDE PLAZA SHOPPING CENTER MERCHANTS request permission for the staging of an Armed Forces Show and <br />Recruiting Drive by the Armed Forces of the United States Government at Woodside Plaza on July 17, 18 and <br />19th. Councilman Weiss moved that the permit be granted, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. The <br />City Attorney stated that this was a "courtsey permit" due to the fact that this is on private property and <br />does not effect public property. <br />Letter from the City of South San Francisco inviting the City of Redwood City to participate in their 50th <br />Year Golden Jubilee celebration. The City Manager was directed to write a letter of appreciation for the <br />invitation and say that members of the Council will try to attend the parade. <br />Councilman Spillers moved approval of The City Manager's recommendation that the Building Inspector, Stephen <br />H. Kreiss, be given a salary increase from Step #4 to Step #5, effective 7-1-58, seconded by Councilman <br />Herkner and carried. <br />Members of the Council were asked to contact the City Clerk of they were going to attend the.League dinner <br />meeting. <br />Letter from Don L. Bogie, Vice Principal of Sequoia High School, extending his appreciation to both the <br />Police and Fire Departments for their good work and cooperation with the school. <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION 2512.ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL PLAN LINES FOR PROPOSED INTERIOR <br />STREET BETWEEN UPLAND AND CANYON ROAD FROM OAK KNOLL DRIVE 1,000 FEET SOUTHEASTERLY TO AND INCLUDING A PRO- <br />POSED STREET CONNECTION UPLAND AND CANYON ROAD, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried on roll call, <br />Councilman Granger being disqualified from voting because he was not present at the time of the public hear- <br />ing, Councilman Weiss voting No and Councilman Rosselli being noted absent. <br />Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION 2513 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />CITY AND STATE CF CALIFORNIA PROVIDING FOR A LOAN OF $5,000 TO CITY FOR USE IN PREPARATION OF PLANS FOR <br />MUNICIPAL SMALL CRAFT HARBOR, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call, Councilman Rosselli <br />being noted absent. <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO 2514 AMENDING RESCLUTION NO 2495 PROVIDING FOR RATES AND <br />CHARGES FOR USE OF FACILITIES AND SERVICES OF REDWOOD CITY MARINE HARBOR, seconded by Councilman Herkner <br />and carried on roll call, Councilman Rosselli being noted absent. <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING STANDARDS OF CONDUCT GOVERNING ACTIONSOF PUBLIC OFFICERS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY. <br />Councilman Spillers moved to ca rry this on the agenda for two weeks, July 28th, seconded by Councilman <br />Herkner.;. and carried. <br />Councilman Spillers moved .to authorize the City Clerk to accept a deed for a portion of Lot 2', Block 30, Oak <br />Knoll Manor, for a 10' street easement for widening purposes on Canyon Road, seconded by Councilman <br />Weymouth and carried. <br />
