Councilman Spillers moved that the minutes cf October 26th be approved as mailed, seconded by Councilman <br />Fields and carried. <br />CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ANNEXATION CF SEQUOIA TERRACE. The public hearing was declared open. <br />There being no protests, written or oral, Councilman Spillers moved that the public hearing be c6ntinued <br />to November 23rd (MINUTE ORDER #59-171), seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />RCONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING ON LESLIE ANNEXATION 2-B. The public hearing was declared open. There being <br />no protests, written or oral, Councilman Herkner moved that the public hearing be continued to December <br />7th (MINUTE ORDER #59-172), seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE TEXT CF THAT CERTAIN PUBLICATION CF <br />THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO ENTITLED "UNIFORM GAS CODE OF SAN MATEO COUNTY." The public hearing was de - <br />60 clared open and the affidavit of publication ordered f fled. There were no written communications. Reuel <br />Myers raised the question as to what the new ordinance would require in the way of venting or fans. <br />After discussion, Councilman Rosselli moved that the public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman <br />Spillers and carried. <br />Councilman Spillers moved introduction of an ordinance adopting by reference that certain code entitled <br />"Uniform Gas Code of San Mateo County," together with all amendments thereto and as the same existed and <br />was effective July 10, 1959, providing for the establishment of minimum standards and requirements to <br />insure safe installation of all gas burning appliances, water heaters, gas vents, and gas piping here- <br />after installed in the City of Redwood City; and repealing Ordinance No. 346 of the City cf Redwood <br />City (MINUTE ORDER #59-173), seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried on roll call with Councilman <br />Fields, Herkner, Rosselli, Spillers, Weymouth and Mayor Royer voting yes and Councilman Granger voting <br />OM <br />no* <br />REPORT ON BID OPENING, BAYSHORE INDUSTRIAL PARK NO. 1 IMPROVEMENTS. The following bids were received: <br />E. T. Corp., San Francisco Water mains <br />$ 70,851.50 <br />Sanitary sewers <br />1653770.00 <br />Storm sewers <br />2329347.00 $468,969.50 <br />No Council action was taken at this time. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON BAYSHORE INDUSTRIAL PARK NO. 1 IMPROVEMENTS. The public hearing was declared open and the <br />affidavits of posting notice of improvement, mailing of notice of <br />hearing, and publication of notice of <br />improvement were ordered filed. Peninsula -Celebration Association and Price Building Specialities Co. <br />submitted letters objecting to the method of spreading the assessment and asked consideration of 'en- <br />larging the district. The City Attorney reported that at the present time the City did not have all the <br />necessary easements necessary for the improvement of the district. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved that the <br />public hearing be continued for one week, November 9th (MINUTE ORDER #59-174), seconded by Councilman <br />Spillers and carried. <br />CONTINUATION CF PUBLIC HEARING ON BROADWAY LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS. The <br />City Manager reported that Mitch <br />Webber had requested that this item be continued for one more week as he had not succeeded in getting <br />the remainder of the necessary, signatures for the petitions. Councilman Granger moved that the public <br />hearing be continued for one week.. November 9th (MINUTE ORDER #59-175), seconded by Councilman Herkner <br />and carried. <br />
