This was followed by discussion. <br />PROGRESS REPORT ON YACHT HARBOR. Dick Wilkinson stated that they had to send a letter to the Small Crafts <br />Harbor Commission for the $300,000 loan. This loan does not require that the City hold an election. <br />The state will not look to any other project for the income to pay off the loan. The State will look <br />only to the original source of the revenue and no other. Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLU <br />TION NO. 2898 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AMENDED APPLICATION FOR SMALL CRAFT HARBOR CONSTRUCTION LOAN <br />FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DIVISION OF SMALL CRAFT HARBORS TO PROVIDE FOR PLEDGE OF GROSS REVENUES <br />OF PROJECT AS SECURITY FOR REPAYMENT, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll <br />call, Councilman Spillers being noted absent. <br />There was discussion on the fuel dock with regard to Stanford boat crew and their needs for launching <br />their.shells. The change will cost an estimated $3,600 of which Stanford has agreed to donate all <br />their present funds which totals $2,000. The Mayor appointed Councilman Herkner, Weymouth and Rosselli <br />as a committee to check into this matter. <br />Councilman Granger moved that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. Fields, Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner, <br />John S. Rosselli,Ray Weymouth, Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Councilman Robert <br />V. Spillers was noted absent and it was reported that he was home sick with the flu. Also present were <br />City Manager J. -E. Neal, City Attorney Robert J. Costello, P6lice Chief William Faulstich, Police <br />Captain Theodore Moudakas, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Assistant Planning Director Leonard Knittel, <br />Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Street Maintenance Superintendent <br />Doyle Chester, Water Superintendent H. L. Winter, Assistant Water Supt. Warren Mitchell and Deputy- <br />City <br />eputyCity Clerk Vivian Holmquist. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved approval of the minutes of November 2nd as mailed, seconded by Councilman Weymouth <br />and carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PETITION OF GIOVANIA BONAUDI to. amend Section 4.2 of Ordinance No. 600 to rezone from <br />R-2 District to R-3 District all of the northeasterly one-half of Lot 16, Block $, Jefferson Acres <br />located at 630 Vera Avenue. The public hearing was declared, open and the affidavits of notice ordered <br />carried. Councilman Rosselli moved to uphold the recommendation of the Planning Commission, deny the <br />application and terminate the proceedings (MINUTE ORDER #59-185) seconded by Councilman Herkner and <br />ca rried. <br />filed. <br />The Clerk reported that he was in receipt <br />of a petition with 28 signatures protesting the re- <br />zoning. <br />Mrs. Anthony Salmamone, 636 Vera Avenue, <br />and Jack Lindow, 810 Fulton Street, both objected to <br />the rezoning because of the drainage and traffic problems. Charles Smoke, representing the property <br />owners, <br />asked for the rezoning because this was a <br />problem lot and was too deep for residential use, 501 <br />x 2401. <br />Councilman Herkner moved that the public <br />hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Rosselli <br />carried.
