376 <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />Redwood City Council <br />November 23, 1959, 8:00 P.M. <br />Invocation was led by Mr. Adnrew Baldwin, Assistant Minister Woodside Road Community Methodist Church. <br />0A ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Ron W. Fields, Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner, <br />John Rosselli, Robert V. Spillers, Ray Weymouth, Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Also <br />noted present were City Manager J. E. Neal, City Attorney Robert J. Costello, Planning Director Dick <br />Wilkinson, Assessor—Auditor John J. Brophy, City Engineer Glenn M.�Jain, Police Chief William Faulstieh, <br />Assistant Planning Director Leonard Knittel, Traffic Engineer Arthur U. Eskelin, Building Inspector S. <br />H. Kreiss, Water Superintendent H. L. Winter, Street Maintenance Superintendent Doyle Chester and Deputy <br />City Clerk Vivian Holmquist. <br />Councilman Spillers moved approval of the minutes of November 16th as mailed, seconded by Councilman Rosselli <br />and carried. <br />CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ANNEXATIO',I OF SEQUOIA TERRACE. The public hearing was declared open. Coun— <br />cilman Spillers moved that the public hearing be continued to December 7th (MINUTE ORDER #59-197), see— <br />onded by Councilman ffeymouth and carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON THE RESOLUTION OF INTENTION BY THE PLANNING COMMISION TO AMEND SECTION 4-2 OF ORDINANCE NO. <br />600 to rezone from R-2 District to R -3—G District all of Lots 1 and 3, Block 11B11, Woodside Acres Sub— <br />division, said property facing on Oxford and Palm Streets. The public hearing was declared open and the <br />affidavits of notice were ordered filed. After a short discussion, Councilman Spillers moved that the <br />public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />Councilman Spillers moved introduction of an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 600, the Zcring Ordinance, <br />to rezone Lots 1 and 3 of Block "'B'", Woodside Acres Subdivision, from R-2 to R -3—G Distrietp (MINUTE ORDER <br />#59-198), seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PLAN14ING COMMISSION IS RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 600, being the zoning <br />Ordinance of the City of Redwood City , to provide for the 'creation of an INDUSTRIAL PARK LAND USE DISTRICT <br />and the establishment of regulations for land uses therein. The public hearing was declared open and the <br />affidavits of notice ordered filed. There being no protests written or oral, Councilman Rosselli moved <br />that the public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />Councilman Herkner moved introduction of an ordinance amending Section 2.1 of Ordinance No. 600 and adding <br />thereto Sections 14*11 through ]1 .22, inclusive, providing for the establishment of an Industrial Park <br />District and regulations which shall be in effect relating to the uses of land and buildings, height limits <br />of buildings, yards and other open spaces about buildingsp within said Industrial Park District (MINUTE <br />ORDER #59-199), seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ORDER MODIFICATION OF RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2801 JEFFERSON <br />AVENUE WIDENING IMPROVEMENTS (HIGHLAND AVENUE TO FARM HILL BLVD.). The public hearing was declared open S <br />and the affidavit of publication was ordered filed. There being no protests, written or oral, Councilman <br />Spillers moved that the public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 2916 ORDERING MODIFICATIONS AND CHANGES, JEFFERSON <br />AVENUE WIDENING IMPROVEMENTS (HIGHLANDS AV91TJE TO FARM HILL BLVD.), seconded by Councilman Fields and ^� <br />carried unanimously on roll call. ._4 <br />Councilman Granger moved adoption of ORDINANCE NO. 952 OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY PROVIDING FOR A COT41ECTION <br />TO PUBLIC SEVERS OF ALL PLUMBING WHICH RECEIVES WASTE DISCHARGE FROM ANY BUILDING OR STRUCTURE EXCEPT UNDER <br />CERTAIN DESIGNATED CONDITIONS, PROVIDING PROCEDURES FOR MAKING SUCH CONNECTIONS9. AND REPEALING ORDINANCES <br />NOS. 202 AND 215, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried unanimously on roll call. The affidavit of <br />publication was ordered filed. <br />
