M. <br />Invocation was led by Reverend David Helds First Congregational Church. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Rare Fields., Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkners <br />John S. Rossellip Ray Weymouthp Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Councilman Robert <br />Spillers was noted absent. Also present were City Manager James E. Neal, City Attorney Robert J. Costellos .,..i <br />City Engineer Glenn M. Jain., Assistant Planning Director Leonard Knittel, Police Chief William Faulstichs <br />Building Inspector S. H9 Kreiss, Recreation Director Alfred Marton and Deputy City Clerk Vivian Holmquist. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved approval of the minutes of March 2nd as mailed, seconded by Councilman Fields and <br />carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMMATION to amend Section 4*3 of Ordinance No, 600 to rezone <br />from R-2 to R-1 District, portions of Lots 2., 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8, in Block 7, Tract No. 509 Friendly Acres <br />Subdivision No. 2, known as Wayne Court. The affidavits of mailing of notice and public ation was ordered <br />filed. There being no protests., written or oral., Councilman Weymouth moved that the public hearing be <br />closed, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />Councilman Herkner moved introduction of an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 600., the Zoning Ordinance, <br />to rezone portion of Lots 2, 3, 40 6, 7 and 8, Block 72 Tract No. 509, Friendly Acres$ Subdivision No. 2s <br />from R-2 District to R-1 Districts seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />PETITION FOR STREET IMPROVMENTS ON PROPOSED JONES COURT between Page and Hoover Streets and its extension to <br />Tenth Avenues, Councilman Rosselli moved to approve the recommendation of the City Engineer and City Manager <br />to prepare the plans and authorize the City Auditor to advance funds, seconded by Councilman Granger and <br />carried. <br />PETITION FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT ON PARK STREET between Cypress Street and Central Avenue. Councilman Herkner <br />moved to approve the recommendation of the City Manager subject to the people being advised that the City <br />will do the work or local engineers and attorney, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />Planning Commission recommendation on the petition of A.
