ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Floyd D. Granger$, Sidney D. Herkner., John S. Rosselli Robert Ve Spillers, Louis Weiss, Ray Weymouth, Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk Re Se Dodge* Also present were City Manager James Ee Neal,, City Attorney Robert J. Costello, Police Chief William Faulstich, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Water Superintendent H. L. Winter, Building Inspector Se He Kreissp Assistant Building Inspector Be C. Gyselbrecht., Street Maintenance Superin- tendent Doyle Chester, Assistant Planning Director Leonard Knittel.. Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy and Deputy Clerk Vivian Holmquist. PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADOPTION CF AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE TEXT OF THAT CERTAIN PUBLICATION CF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO ENTITLED "ELECTRICAL CCDE OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO". The affidavit of publication was ordered filed* There were no written protests. Representatives of the Electrical Union were intruduced and asked that the ordinance be adopted. Councilman Rosselli moved that, the public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. Councilman Granger moved to introduce an ordinance by reference that certain code entitled "The Electrical Code of the County of San Mateo California".q together with all amendments thereto and as the same existed and was effective April 11.. 1958 providing for the regulation of electrical fixtures and appliances, providing for penalties for violation of said ordinance and portions thereof and re- pealing Ordinance No. 825, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. PUBLIC HEARING ON THE APPEAL OF PATRICIA L. BAKER FROM THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS DENIAL CF A VARIANCE TO PERMIT C(NSTRUCTION OF A SWIMMING POOL (3302 Dover Road). The affidavit of notice was ordered filed. After the Clerk read the report of the Planning Commission, Councilman Weymouth moved to continue this matter until March 2nd, seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried. Youth Day representatives were introduced by the Mayor and then appointed in the following order: Ted Hitchcock Jean Miller Mardi Mohr Gloria Ante Paula Slager Pete Savoia Steve Chell - Mayor William Royer - Councilman Ray Weymouth - Councilman Robert Spillers - Councilman Sidney Herkner - Councilman Floyd. Granger - Councilman Louis Weiss - Councilman John Rosselli Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 262. DECLARING AND PROCLAIMING FEBRUARY 25, 1959 "YOUTH DAY" IN THE CITY OF REDWOCD CITY, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried unanimously on roll call. Harms Corporation., Redwood City 14.4700 The City Manager recommended the low bid of Berger-Coastwide Construction Co. Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION N0, 2625 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR REMODELING OF CITY HALL., REDWOOD CITY, CAL- IFORNIA; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR., seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried unanimously on roll call. REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF TIPS MARINE HARBOR FLOATS CONTRACT (Associated Dredging Compa*)e Councilman Spillers moved that the ten day extension be granted on the recommendation of the City Manager and the City Engineer., seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried.
