The <br />affidavit of publication was ordered filed. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved adoption of ORDINANCE NO. 932 APPROPRIATING THE SUM CF $50,210.67 FROM THE SEWER RENTAL <br />FUND TO THE CAPITAL FUND, 1958 SZ1ER BOND SERIES ACCOUNT, FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE PAYMENT OF PRINCIPAL AND <br />INTEREST ON 1958 SEM BONDS, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried on roll call, Councilman Granger <br />being noted absent. The affidavit of publication was ordered filed. <br />FURTHER CONSIDERATION ON REQUEST OF CHAMBER CF' COMMERCE FOR THE CITYIS CONTRIBUTION TO THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT <br />DEPARTUM. Councilman Weymouth moved that the Council consider and look favorably on. this matter at the <br />budget meeting (MINUTE ODER #59-22), seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />APPOINTMENT OF FOUR MEMBERS TO THE GREATER HIGHWAY COMMITTEE AND A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE <br />GREATER HIGHWAY COMMITTEE. Councilman Rosselli moved that Councilman Spillers, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain <br />and Planning Commissioner Mitch Webber be appointed to the committee and a citizen be appointed at a later <br />date (MINUTE ORDER #59-23), seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. <br />Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2688 ENDORSING THE ESTABLISHMENT CF THE GREATER HIGHWAYS <br />COMMITTEE, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried on roll call, Councilman Granger being noted absent. <br />Councilman Granger requests information regarding the disposition of the proposed business license and sign ord- <br />inance.changes. Councilman Spillers reported progress on the business license ordinance. <br />PROGRESS REPORT ON NEGOTIATIONS OF 49er CLUB AND CITY an extension to existing 49er building at the Recreation <br />Center. The City Manager recomended that the City construct the addition at a cost of $4,200 from the <br />Capital Outlay Fund and that the Club's rental be increased at the rate of $600 additional for the next 7 <br />years, which is the duration of the contract* Councilman Spillers moved to approve the recommendation of <br />the City Manager and authorize City Attorney to prepare necessary legal documents for Council consideration <br />(MINUTE ORDER x'59-24), seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION TO AMEND CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO, 2565, a resolution granting conditional <br />use permit in favor of Lot 17, Johnson Subdivision (Ropat Inveestment Corp.). The Mayor read the report of <br />the Planning Commission after which Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 2689 AMENDING <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2565 TO MODIFY THE CONDITIONS OF THE USE PERMIT IN FAVOR OF LOT 172 JOHNSON SUBDIVISION BY <br />ELIMINATING THE REQUIREMENT FOR PARKING FACILITIES TO BE ON THE SITE, seconded by Councilman Fields and car- <br />ried on roll call, Councilman Granger being noted absent. <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2690 BEING A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RED90CD CITY TO CLOSE AND ABANDON CERTAIN WALKWAYS utanz&-i ANAMOR STREET AND CONNECTICUT DRIVE AND <br />BETWEEN A TRIANGULAR PARK AND KENTUCKY STREET AS SAID WALKWAYS ARE SHOWN AND DESIGNATED ON THAT CERTAIN MAP <br />ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK AND APPROVED BY THE COUNCIL ON MARCH 169 1959, ENTITLED "MAP SHOWING <br />A 61 WALK RUNNING PARALLEL TO AND Br,, og,&4 ANAMOR STREET AND CONNECTICUT DRIVE AND A 101 WALK BETWEEN A <br />TRIANGULAR PARK AND KENTUCKY STREET,, PROPOSED TO BE ABANDONED AS SAID WALES APPEAR ON THAT CERTAIN MAP EN- <br />TITLED I W.00DSIDE TERRACE N0. 21 AS RECORDED IN BOOK 31 OF MAPS AT PAGES 32 & 33 SAN MATEO COUNTY RECORDS, <br />.RESERVING ,A PUBLIC UTILITIES EASEMENT OVER THE ENTIRE WIDTH AND LENGTH OF THE WALKS PROPOSED TO BE ABANDONED," <br />AND REPEALING RESOLUTION N0. 2667, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and ca cried on roll call, Councilman <br />Granger being noted absent.
