The Mayor, with the approval'of the Councilp authorized <br />the City Manager to proceed with the project. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION recommends denial of the petition of Renato and Beatrice Bianchi and G. & Renato G uida <br />to amend Section 4.2 of Ordinance No. 60Q to rezone from R-1 to R-3 District, the southeasterly 161.34 <br />feet front and rear portion of Lot 19, *Valota Park" fronting on the southwesterly line of Valota Road <br />and having a depth of 675 feet., said parcel containing 2.50 acres located at 1792 Valota Road. Coun- <br />cilman Weymouth mored to set the matter for public hearing on May 4th (MINUTE ORDER #59-25)s seconded <br />by Councilman Herknerand carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION recommends approval of the petition of Eugene & Adele Giovannoni, Peter & Marie <br />Giovannoni, and Aurelio Dal Porto to amend Section 4.2 of Ordinance No. 600 to rezone portions of Lots <br />C and E, Rooster, Whitton & Montgomery's Subdivision No. 2, located approximately at 149 Roosevelt <br />Avenue adjacent to Superior Market, from C -1-H-' District to R-4 District. Councilman Spillers moved <br />to set the matter for public hearing on May filth (MINUTE ORDER #59-26), seconded by Councilman Fields <br />and carried. <br />PLANNING CCMMCSSION recommends denial of the petition of Chester F. & Grace Co Hubbard to amend Section 4/1 <br />of Ordinance No* 600 to rezone Lot l0, Block 1, Resub of Portions of Blocks 1 and 2 of Subdivision "A" <br />of Wellesley Park, from R-1 District to R-3 District, located at 110 Claremont Avenue, however, the <br />Planning Commission did recommend that this be rezoned to R -3-G District, Councilman Herkner moved to <br />set the matter for public hearing on May 4th (MINUTE ORDER #59-27)s seconded by Councilman Spillers <br />and carried. <br />Councilman Fields moved to introduce an ordinance amending Section 14 of Ordinance No. 691 relating to City <br />Pound, to establish uniform annual dog license fee in the County of $3.00., seconded by Councilman <br />Spillers and carried. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 2692 TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $2.,000 Adk THE PLANNING <br />DEPARTMENT SALARIES ACCOUNT TO THE PUNNING DEPARTMENT SUPPLIES AND SERVICES ACCOUNT FOR AERIAL MAP- <br />PING SERVICES; AND AUTHORIZING THE CTTY MANAGER TO CONTRACT FOR SUCH SERVICES, seconded by Councilman <br />Spillers and carried on roll call, Councilman Granger being noted absent. <br />ACCEPTANCE OF PALM MANOR SUBDIVISION AND FARM HILL SUBDIVISION NO. 2. The City Engineer reported that all <br />improvements had been completed in accordance with plans and specifications, except the following: <br />1. Broken sidewalks and driveway approaches mast be removed and reconstructed at the following <br />locations: (a) 1661 Palm Avenue, (b) 1637 Palm Avenue, (c) Adjacent to Lot 12, on Palm Avenue, <br />2. Planting of four (4) additional trees behind sidewalk on Valota Road& <br />3._ Payment of engineering fees incurred since March 31, 1959- <br />4, Establishment of bench marks as required by Subdivision Ordinanoe. - <br />5. Completion of parkway backfill between sidewalk and curb. <br />The subdivider has offered to post a bond or cash deposit in the amount of $400.00 to insure completion <br />of the above items. It ;was recommended by the City Engineer that the improvements be accepted by the <br />City Council, subject to the correction of the above items and posting of a cash deposit or bonds in <br />the amount of $400.00 to insure their completion and payment of current engineering charges. Council- <br />man Herkner moved that the recommendation be approved and that they add to the conditions that of normal <br />one year guarantee against any defects., etc. (MINUTE ORDER #59-28), seconded by Councilman Spillers and <br />carried. <br />Mr. Jain stated that the improvements were not completed as required by the plans and specifications <br />for Farm Hill No. 2. <br />
