28-6 <br />CITY MANAGER REPORT ON MEETINGS WITH THE P. G. & Be OFFICIALS in regard to the Parking District (PARKING LOT VIs <br />District No. 1 - Third Lot). The City Manager reported that an appraisal by Jack Estes set value of prop- <br />erty to be acquired from P. G. & E. at #31,750. Mr. Frank Erwin of P. G. & Be has stated that if the City <br />will make such an offers the P. G. & Be will accept. The City Manager recommends such an offer be made. In <br />addition to the purchase prices the City would be required to erect a 61 high barb wire fences water con- <br />nection <br />rection and construct outside wall from existing partition. Councilman Weymouth moved that the Parking <br />District Attorney be authorized to take the necessary steps to purchase the property from the P. G. & E. at <br />the price of $31,750, City to construct fences install water connection and construct outside wall from exist- <br />ing partition (MINUTE ORDER #59-29)., seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2693 RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 26329 seconded by Councilman <br />Weymouth and carried on roll calls Councilman Granger being noted absent. <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2694 AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING CONDEMNATION OF RIGHT OF <br />WAY AND EASEMENT FOR DRAINAGE PURPOSES AND PROPERTY FOR STREET PURPOSES AND FOR PUBLIC PARKING PURPOSES, sec- <br />onded by Councilman Fields and carried on roll calls Councilman Granger being noted absent. (This resolution <br />is in conjunction with the Parking District between Broadway, Bradford$ Main and Jefferson Avenue.) <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />PENINSULA HIGHWAY POLICY COMMITTEE urged adoption of a resolution recommending design standards for Junipero <br />Serra Freeway. Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO, 2695 R.ECOMMENDING DISIGN STANDARDS FOR <br />JUNIPERO SERRA FREENAYs seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried on roll calls Countilman Granger being <br />noted absent. <br />Claims 28828 through 28964s totaling $29,424.08., were ordered paid on motion of Councilman Rosselli$ seconded by <br />Councilman Fields and carried. <br />The Mayor recognized two students from Menlo -Atherton High School, Lyndia Seaff and Barbara Buchholz. M. <br />Invocation was led by Reverend Rowland Edgeworth, First Baptist Church. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Ron W. Fields, Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner, <br />John S. Rosselli, Robert Vo, Spillers, Ray Weymouths Mayor William H. Royer, City Clerk Re S. Dodge. Also <br />present were City Manager James Be Neel, City Attorney Robert J. Costello., City "Engineer Glenn M.• Jains ^� <br />Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophys Police Chief William Faulstiehs Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss and Deputy <br />City Clerk Vivian Holmquist. <br />Councilman Granger asked that the minutes of April 20th be corrected as follows: (Page 2, 3rd paragraph) <br />"Councilman Spillers reputed on progress on the business license ordinance." Councilman Rosselli moved <br />approval of the minutes as corrected, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of ORDINANCE NO. 600.104 AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 60G, THE ZONING ORDINANCE, TO <br />REZONE PROPERTY, 460 FEET IN DEPPHs LOCATED IN THE 2500 BLOCK ON THE WEST SIDE OF EL CAMIN 0 REAL, FROM R-3 <br />AND R-4 DISTRICTS TO C -1-H DISTRICT (Boicelli property),,seconded by Councilman Fields and carried on roll <br />calls Councilman Granger abstaining because he was not present at the time of the public hearing. The affi- <br />davit of publication was ordered filed. <br />
