The City Manager asked that this be continued for one week because <br />6f the Problem of water and also the subdivision bond. The Subdivider Was asked to see the City <br />Manager with regard to this matter. The Mayor asked that the matter be continued until next week. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2709 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO SERVICE <br />AGREEMENTS WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS, FOR WEED <br />ABATEMENT UPON STATE LANDS IN CONNECTION WITH THE CITY'S WEED ABATEMENT PROGRAM, seconded by Councilman <br />Fields and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />United Automotive Service expressed their appreciation to the City Paint Crew for their assistance in <br />putting out a fire on their premises. <br />T. N. Thompson, Secretary of the Veterans Memorial Commission, expressed appreciation to the Street <br />Department for the fine work done by the man in applying the safety paint to the sidewalk on the <br />Madison Street entrance to the Memorial Building. The City Manager was asked to thank the crews and <br />see that they saw the letters. <br />Claims 28965 through 291162 totaling 0239,860.52, were ordered paid on motion of Councilman Weymouth, sec— <br />onded by Councilman Fields and carried. <br />Councilman Spillers moved that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. <br />Meeting adjourned, 9:25 p. m. <br />R. L. <br />Winter and Deputy City Clerk Vivian Holmquist. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved approval of the minutes of May 4th as mailed, seconded by Councilman Fields and <br />carried, <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON BEECH STREET IMPROVMENTS. The affidavits of posting, publication and mailing were ordered <br />filed.
