292 <br />BEECH STREET IMPROVEMENTS, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />ACCEPTANCE OF BEECH STREET IMPROVMENTS, Southern Pacific Railroad Right -of -=Way to Stambaugh Street. The City <br />Engineer recommended that the improvements be accepted subject to correction of any defects in materials and <br />workmanship which might appear within one year from date of acceptance by the City Council. Councilman <br />Weymouth moved to accept the work subject to the correction of defects in materials and workmanship appear- <br />ing within one year (MINUTE ORDER #59-38), seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />Councilman Herkner moved adoption of ORDINANCE NO. 600.105 AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 600, THE ZONING ORDINANCE, TO <br />REZONE PORTIONS OF LOTS "C" AND "E", WOOSTER) WHITTON AND MONTGOMERY'S SUBDIVISION OF A PART OF THE REDWOOD <br />FARM, FROM C -1 -i -f DISTRICT TO R-4 DISTRICT, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried unanimously on roll <br />call. The affidavit of publication was ordered filed. <br />s <br />ACCEPTANCE FINAL MAP WAYNE COURT SUBDIVISION. The Planning Commission recommended approval subject to the follow- <br />ing conditions: <br />1. Execution of agreement for public improvements and furnishing of faithful performance and labor and mat- <br />erials bonds in the amount of $25,000. <br />2. Conveyance of deed to Lots A and B within said Wayne Caurt,Subdivision. <br />3. That o ership of water system and sanitary sewer system vest in the City of Redwood City. <br />After discussion, it was decided to eliminate condition #3 on the recommendation of the City Manager. Coun- <br />cilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2712 APPROVING AND ACCEPTING FINAL MAP OF WAYNE COURT TRACT, <br />REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS; APPROVING AND ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR <br />IMPROVMENT THEREOF;, AND, approving AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION CF AGREEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION CF IMPROVEMENTS <br />FOR SAID SUBDIVISION, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />E. W. KELLEY REQUEST ABANDONMENT OF 5 FEET OF A 15 FOOT EASEMENT ON THE NORTIMESTERLY SIDE CIE' LOT 20, BLOCK !t, <br />FARM HILLS NO. 2, commonly known as 3683 Country Club Drive. Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2713 AUTHORIZING THE ABANDONMENT CF A PORTION OF A PUBLIC UTILITIES EASEMENT IN LOT 20, BLOCK 4,t FARM <br />HILL SUBDIVISION N0. 2, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 2714 BEING THE RESOLUTION CF PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION, ROSE <br />AVENUE EXTENSION AND IMPROVEMENT, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried unanimously on roll call* <br />Councilman Spillers moved introduction of an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 600, the Zoning Ordinance, to rezone <br />all of Lot 10, Block i, Resubdivision of portions of Blocks 1 and 2 of Subdivision "A" of Wellesley Park, <br />from R-1 District to R -3-G District (Hubbard property on Claremott Avenue), secondedby Councilman Fields and <br />carried an roll call, Councilmen Fields, Granger, Herkner and Spillers voting yes, Councilmen Rosselli and <br />Weymouth voting no and Mayor Royer abstaining because of business interests. <br />REQUEST OF TERRACE FAMIW SWIM AND TENNIS CLUB FOR PERMISSION TO PUT TENNIS COURT OVER CIT Y PROPERTY. The staff <br />recommended that the request be denied. Joe Ferrem addressed the Council and asked if it would be possible <br />to use the easement to install a barbecue area. The Council had no objection to this or to the use of the <br />easement for parking just as long as they didn't cut the grade below the service road. They would also be <br />required to obtain the proper insurance to hold the City harMess. Mr. Ferrero was asked to contact the City <br />Manager for further discussion and action. <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2715 APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECI- <br />FICATIONS FOR ADDITION TO FORTY-NINERS BUILDING, AND AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE SAME, seconded <br />by Councilman Fields and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0, 2716 TRANSFERRING THE SUK OF $4,500 FROM THE UNALLOCATED <br />FUNDS ACCOUNT OF THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND TO THE TRAINING BUILDING ACCOUNT OF THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND, <br />FOR THE PURPOSE CF DIP'ROVMMENTS OF THE FORTY-NINER BUILDING, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried <br />unanimously an roll call, <br />- -1 - I - — -. - - -- <br />
