9 3 <br />Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2717 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIMCATIONS FOR DOWNTOWN <br />STREET RESURFACING, 1959, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried unanimously on roll call* Coun- <br />cilman Granger requested that a copy of the resolution be sent to the Board of Supervisors to show them <br />how the City was going to help beautify the County Building area. The Council saw no objection to this <br />request. <br />REPORT ON PROPOSED SIGN ORDINANCE. At a special meeting of May 5.s 1959, the Planning Commission studied <br />and discussed the proposed sign ordinance and adopted the following motion: Commissioner MacDonald <br />moved that we do not believe our present Porposed Si& Ordinance is adequate nor will show the needs <br />and thinking of the Planning Commission and we are recommending thatwe do not proceed at this time <br />with the adoption of the Sign Ordinance but rather incorporate it after the Zoning Ordinance and Gen- <br />eral Plan has been adopted and that the Sign ordinance be made a portion of thatp seconded by Com- <br />missioner Rambo and carried* This was followed by discussion as to when the proposed ordinance might <br />be considered f or adoption. Councilman Fields moved that the Council each be furnished a,copy of the <br />proposed sign ordinance and the matter be placed an the aganda in two weeks, May 25th (MINUTE ORDER <br />#59-39), seconded by Councilman Herkner. They asked for a staff report when the matter is placed on <br />the agenda. The motion carried* <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 271$ URGING THE STATE DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS TO CONTINUE <br />STUDIES OF THE UNDERCROSSING OF JEFFERSON AVENUE UNDER REDWOCD CREEK BRIDGE ON THE NEW BAYSHORE HIGHWAY, <br />seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call* <br />Councilman Granger moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO, 2719 AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF SUM OF $500 FROM BOARD OF <br />COMMISSIONERS, WOODSIDE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT., AS ACCEPTABLE DISTRIBUTION OF DISTRICT PROPERTY AND <br />FUNDS UPON WITHDRAWAL OF ANNEXED TERRITORY FROM DISTRICT., seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried <br />POO <br />unanimously on roll call* <br />BOW OF SUPERVISORS REQUEST CANCELIATION OF CITY TAXES ON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY. The County requests <br />cancellation of city taxes on the following property: <br />Parcel 1 - Lebenson Property; Portion of Lots 1,92.,3.1 and 12 in Block 5. Range "E" Town of Mezesville; <br />Parcel 2 - Nieri Property: Lots 1 and 2 in Block 6., Range Eo Tom of Mezesville; <br />Parcel 3 - Patterson Property: All that portion of cats 1 and 2 in Block 4.9 Range "D"., Map of Mezesville* <br />Councilman Granger moved to approve cancellation of County owned lots as requested subject to approval <br />of the City Attorney (MrNM ORDER #59-40)., seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />PLANS PEW LOA: <br />APPOINTMENT OF ENGINEER TO RREPARE M AND S FOR MARINE HARBOR FLOATS, PHASE 2* Councilman Herkner <br />moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2720 TRANSFERRING $1,9000 FROM THE UNALLOCATED FUNDS ACCOUNT OF THE <br />CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND TO THE YACHT HARBOR IMPROVEMENT AND MARINE FINGER PIERS ACCOUNT OF THE CAPITAL <br />PROJECTS FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF ENGAGING ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR "THE MARINE HARBOR FLOATS$, PHASE <br />NO. 2" PROJECT., seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried unanimously on roll call* <br />L <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2721 APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES <br />FOR "MARINE HARBOR FLOATSY PHASE NO. 2"� PROJECT., AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF., seconded by Council- <br />man Granger and carried unanimously on roll call* <br />REQUEST FOR WATER 00KNECTION TO CONNECT THE "SWIM CLUB" AND "MOOSE PROPERTY" TO THE WATER SYSTEM ON JEFFERSON <br />AVENUE. The Mayor read the letter from Herbert Frahm* The City Manager recommended that they, pay $500 <br />per parcel., or $13,000 for the water donnectione This was agreeable to the interested parties. Council- <br />man Herkner moved that the City Manager's recommendation of $500 per parcel for water connection be <br />approved (MINUTE ORDER #59-41)., seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />Councilman Spillers moved that this money be placed in a fund for future street improvements in this <br />area (MINUTE ORDER #59-W)., seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried* <br />
