<br />seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried.

<br />meeting. Councilman Rosselli moved that the matter be held up for a week for a staff recommendation, second-
<br />ed by Councilman Fields. After discussion, Councilman Spillers amended the motion that the variance be granted
<br />subject to confirmation by the staff (MINUTE ORDER #59-44), seconded by Councilman Weymouth. The amendment

<br />Richard F. Lovejoys Presidentp Public Works Officers' Dept., League of California Cities, extended his per-
<br />sonal appreciation for Glenn Jain+s assistance in presiding over the program for the morning session of
<br />April 17 of the Public Works Officert' Institute held in Monterey
<br />Citizens for Education, Redwood City School District, invited the Council to attend a meeting on Tuesday, May
<br />12th, at 8:00 p* m. at the Veterans Memorial Building, 1455 Madison Avenue. The purpose of this open meeting
<br />is to present first hand detailed information and facts on the tax and bond measures to be voted upon May 19th,
<br />and to hear and know the three candidates for the Board of Education.
<br />Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO, 2722 ENDORSING ACTION TONARDS IMPROVEMENT OF SPRUCE STREET
<br />FROM THE BAYSHORE HIGHWAY TO STATE ROUTE 107, AND ELIMINATION OF FIVE POINTS INTERSECTION, seconded by Council-
<br />man Spillers and carried unanimously on ro2-L call.
<br />Councilman Spillers moved that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. Meeting ad-
