<br />Councilman Spillers moved to introduce an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 6001 the Zoning Ordinance, to
<br />rezone all of Lots 7, 9, ll, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25 and 27, Subdivision No. 2, Wellesley Park, all
<br />of Lots 18, 19 and 20, Block 1, Subdivision "A", Wellesley Park, from R-1 and R-3 Districts to R -3-G
<br />District; and all of Lot 112 Block 1, of Resubdivision of portions of Blocks 1 and 2 of Subdivision "A"
<br />of Wellesley Park from R-1 District to R 3-G District, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried.
<br />Elbert M. Gage requests permit to install a public laundry, or washhouse of the specific type commonly known
<br />as a .Coin Operated Self -Service Laundelette to be located at 2606 Broadway, and also appealing the
<br />ruling of the Planning Commission for permission to install a Coca Cola vending machine. The property
<br />had been posted as required by Ordinance No, 125. After discussion, Councilman Spillers moved to deny
<br />the permit (MINUTE ORDER #59-45), seconded by Councilman Rosselli. Councilman Fields asked that they
<br />file the letter of protest from Mrs. Henry Morello. The motion carried on roll call with Councilmen
<br />Granger, Herkner, Rosselli, Spillers and Mayor Royer voting yes and Councilman Fields and Weymouth
<br />voting no.
<br />Councilman Herkner moved adoption of ORDINANCE NO. 600.106 AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 600, THE ZONING ORDINANCE,
<br />TO REZONE ALL OF LOT 10, BLOCK 1, RESUBDIVISION OF PORTIONS OF BLOCKS 1 AND 2 OF SODIVISION "A" OF
<br />WELLESELY PARK,FROM R-1 DISTRICT TO R -3-G DISTRICT, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on
<br />roll call, Councilmen Fields, Granger# Herkner, Spillers and Weymouth voting yes, Councilman Rosselli
<br />voting no and Mayor Royer abstaining because of business interests. The affidavit of publication Was
<br />ordered filed.
<br />Appointment of "Six Year Plan" Committee. The Mayor asked each Councilman to submit names to the City Man-

<br />Request by City Collector for cancellation of write-off of unpaid taxes and assessments on the'1958-59 tax

<br />Councilman Rosselli moved to approve cancellation of the taxes as requested subject to approval of the

<br />City Auditor recommends appropriation of $24,000 to the Special Revolving Fund to make cash available for
<br />payment of the advances on any of the proposed assessment districts. Councilman S pillars moved adoption
<br />of RESOLUTION NO. 2723 AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2665 TO RROVIDE FOR ACQUISITION CF PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC
<br />WORKS AND IMPROVEMENTS BY SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT PROCEEDINGS, seconded by Councilman Fields and
<br />carried unanimously on roll call.
<br />Councilman Granger moved introduction of an ordinance appropriating the sum of $24,000 from the Unbud-
<br />geted, Unappropriated Balance of the General Fund to the Special Assessment District Revolving Fund for
<br />the purpose of acquiring property and contracting for engineering, appraisal, right-of-way.. acquisition
<br />and legal services necessary for the formation of special assessment districts, seconded by Councilman
<br />Herkner and carried.
