City Assessor regarding cancellation of County Taxes due on three parcels listed in the name of the City. The <br />parcels are as follows: Lot A. Block 3, Farm Hills No. 3 - this is a small triangular parcel dedicated <br />to the City on the recorded map; 44.3 acres MOL come SVP 3301 from Lot 1, Block 13, Farm Hills No. 2 - this <br />is a portion of the proposed extension of Farm Hill Blvd*- Lot 353, Block 509, Highlands of Emerald Lake <br />Noe 5 - location of water tank on Wilmington Way. Councilman Granger moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2724 � <br />REQUESTING REMOVAL OF REAL PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FROM COUNTY ASSESSMENT ROLLS AND CAN- ""W <br />CELLA.TION OF OUTSTANDING TAXES THEREON, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Councilman Granger moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2725 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF <br />ADDITION TO TRAINING BUILDING, COMMUNITY PARK, AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR CONSTRU- <br />0 <br />CTION THEREOF, sew nded by Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2726 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT TO <br />LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND SAN FRANCISCO FORTY NINERS, seconded by Councilman Spillers <br />and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Personnel Board recommendation on requests received from employee organizations for increases in salaries and <br />fringe benefits. The Personnel Board recommends as folows: <br />1. That one additional day vacation leave per year be granted to all employees having completed ten years <br />of service with the City, up to a maximum of fifteen days vacation for 15 years service. <br />2. That no further fringe benefits be increased at this time. <br />3. That no overall salary increase be granted City employees at this time. <br />The Clerk was instructed to place this matter on the agenda for May 25th and the City.Manager was requested <br />to submit to the Council the Personnel Board's reasons why they.denied the salary increase. <br />Jeanne Bianucci is appealing the Board of Adjustments denial of a variance from the strict interpretation of <br />Section 7.1 (f) 3 of Ordinance No. 600 to permit access to second unit on side property line of V 8" instead ... <br />of the required 10 feet at 3118 Hoover Street. Councilman Spillers moved to set the matter for public hearing <br />on June 1st (MINUTE ORDER #59-47), seconded by Councilman Fields and carried* <br />Request for assignment of proceeds of Land Development & Investment Co.. The Mayor read the letter after which <br />Councilman Herknermoved adoption of RESOLUTION NO, 2727 consenting TO ASSIGNMENT BY LAND DEVELOPMENT AND <br />INVESTMENT CO. OF ITSRIGHT IN THAT CERTAIN AGREEMENT BETWEEN SAID COMPANY AND CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, DATED <br />APRIL 12, 1950s SUBJECT TO CERTAIN STATED CONDITIONS, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried unanimously <br />on roll call. <br />Tidewater Oil Company is appealing the Board of Adjustments denial of a use permit for construction of a service <br />station and installation of a sign on commercially zoned property arced by Tide Water Realty 0ompany and <br />situated at the northwest corner of Whipple Avenue and Arguello Street. The Tidewater Oil Company requested <br />the hearing to be held on June 22nd. Councilman Spillers moved that the public hearing be set for June 22nd <br />and the <br />people in the area to be notified of the hearing by postcard (MINUTE ORDER #59-48), seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Herkner and carried. <br />Downtown Businessmen Division, Redwood City Chamber of Commerce, requests the Council to take the necessary steps <br />to form an assessment district for the new street lighting on Broadway between El Camino Real and Main Street. <br />The merchants are desirous that this project be completed by the Christmas shopping season and request that �w <br />the assessment district be formed now in order that there will be sufficient time for completion. Council- <br />man Granger moved to authorize the City Manager to proceed with the staff work and bring back the necessary <br />legal work to start the proceedings (MINUTE CEDER #59-49).. seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />County of San Mateo requests support of Senate Bill Noe 1368 establishing a County -ride Flood Control District <br />for the County of San Mateo at its 1959 legislative session in order that a San Mateo County Flood Control <br />
