323 <br />Redwood City Employees Association extended their appreciation to the Council for the salary increase <br />and the one day extra vacation for each year of service after ten years, up to a maximum of fifteen <br />days vacation. <br />Frank Salaman, Redwood Marina, stated that they were vitally interested in the continued progress of <br />the Redwood City Yacht Harbor and asked that they be kept informed of the plans. He asked to go on <br />record now as wishing to bid on any leases offered by the City at the Yacht Harbor. <br />Richard M. Delucchi requested a 30 day extension of time from June 30th to July 31st, 1959 for the <br />completion of street improvments in Newell Park Subdivision inasmuch as many of the items which they <br />had assumed to be satisfactorily completed in connection with underground work have not been completed <br />to the satisfaction of the City and will have to be redone. Councilman Rosselli moved that the a x- <br />tensi.on of time be granted (MINUTE ORDER #59-117), seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />Claims 29566 through 29716, totaling x212,217.74, were ordered paid on motion of Councilman Herkner, sec- <br />onded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to appoint Councilman Herkner Mayor pro -tem for the neat week (MINUTE ORDER #59-118), <br />seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. M. <br />Invocation was led by Reverend David Yoder, Assembly of God Church. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Ron W. Fields, Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. <br />Herkner, John S. Rosselli, Ray Weymouth, Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Council- <br />man Robert V. Spillers was noted absent. Also present were City Manager J. E. Neal, City Attorney <br />Robert J. Costello, Auditor -Assessor John J. Brophy, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain; Police Chief William <br />Faulstich, Police Lieutenant Joel Mansfield and Deputy City Clerk Vivian Holmquist. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved approval of the minutes of July 6 as mailed, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and <br />carried. <br />Councilman Herkner moved adoption of ORDINANCE NO. 939 CF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING THE ANNEXATION <br />TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED "LESLIE ANNEXATION NO. 1," AND <br />HEREIN DESCRIBED, AND HEREIN ANNEXING SAID TERRITORY TO SAID CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, seconded by Council- <br />man Weymouth and carried on -roll call, Councilman Spillers being noted absent.
